Success, Garbage. The bait worked.
It ain't bait. They should do it.
The first rule of baiting is: you do not say it is a bait.
This is a reasonable opinion
I didn't think you were capable of having those
I have to re-evaluate some things...
out of all the threads to call bait, why this one? legitimately, this is an actual thing that would be a good change
They got commissioned/ work for Konami to make the art, Konami owns it. I do wish there was other ways to advertise it through, like on the tin cans/plastic packs the cards come in.
Like have a card with each artists signatures that worked on the art in each pack.
I do get it though. I just think it would look tacky.
See, the fact that both Pokemon and Magic have been doing it with no issues for forever proves that Konami just does not care and it can be included without being intrusive. Artists should be credited for their work as the industry has a bad habit of going out of their way for no reason to silence people who actually worked on the product and shouldn't be relegated to a useless piece of throwaway cardboard that 95% of people won't think twice or even once about causing more unnecessary litter or half assing the credit like you suggested of just putting them somewhere people won't care to look for except where it matters most (the card itself). The card art in my opinion is just as important as the gameplay when it comes to these types of games.
The only reason I could ever fathom why they wouldn't is to avoid the scenario of drama happening to one of the artists and dealing with the headache of potentially having x amount of their cards needing to be reprinted with new card art cause I assure you its certainly not out of protection for the artists in question.
Does a mason writes his name on a wall he just has built? Does a surgeon writes his names on a heart during a surgery?
F... no lol.
Movies and tv shows and games shouldn't have credits then? It's acknowledgment.
Also this is a really strange comparison, no offense.
