I cant really tell what server I am on but one thing I do know I keep playing against chinese players who run Runic which is one massive pain in the neck to deal with but over all I am facing this for the past few days I am hoping this gets fixed
I can't tell which server I am on but over all its one pain in the neck to deal with NGL
As for what is causing this, and if it will be resolved, I don't know. I had something similar happen one time, but it self resolved in a day or so, this is much longer lasting.
Also I think you have to pick a region when starting the game for the first time. That wouldn't have a point if they didn't have regional servers.
yea and "on your end" suddenly happened to hundreds of ppl after their January 10th patch, weeeeird xd
I had a friend who has the game files, he uploaded them for me, I downloaded the whole folder and replaced mine. When I attempted to connect it still gave me the Connection Error, but after pressing "Retry" a few times it started downloading and now it works fine.
No idea why it worked, since I still had to download the 9Gb, but whatever was stuck got unstuck.
That'll be one salary please, Konami.
Assuming that people get in, download the update, and eventually leave (thus freeing up the server) you should eventually be able to get in again. However, the server volumes will probably be nutty for a while, so it could be days before everyone gets in.
It's an issue on Konami's end, and this isn't the first time it's happened. Konami could buy more servers and make sure they maintain enough bandwidth to facilitate all of their players wanting to play the game. However, if you aren't in the JP servers, they couldn't care less about your day to day play experience. They probably won't even notice overseas players having sign in issues until someone sees that they aren't selling as many gem packs as usual. We'll have slow, crummy connections for about a month, then Konami will post an update saying they've "resolved the issue with NA and EU clients", or they might claim they've resolved an issue with Steam. They won't actually have changed anything, they just want it to look like they're working on it. It's not the first time, and it won't be the last.
