The Fusion card is also horrendous, while GY set-up from Deck is something the archtype actually wants it is also the only thing the card has going for it and the pay-off is just not worth the price as even "Dragoon pass" would not be a viable strategy. At least Neos Fusion is "after this card resolves" (meaning you can can do other stuff beforehand and most importantly you don't get screwed over by Ash) and it also doubles as destruction protection for the summoned monster.
