20 isn't a lot, it's still more than I thought there'd be.

So I'm wondering if it's possible to group then in a best to worst kind of order:

Branded Fusion is probably going to be the best. 2nd best would probably be Fusion Destiny.

3rd~5th would probably be Red-Eyes, Neos, Brilliant, respectively.

Red-Eyes has Dragoon, which if we rank it on monsters, would probably be #1, but its restriction is too tight. Note that in MD and OCG, it'll probably be #4 or even #5 since Dragoon is unavailable.

Neos had Rainbow, which people did try (including OCG duelists after Dragoon's ban on 09/2020 but before DPE's release on 07/2021). But now Rainbow has been largely replaced by Armed, which can tag out for Cosmo or Neos Wingman. Armed required to destroy a monster by battle, which makes it a bit slow. But Neos Fusion doesn't have the restriction Red-Eyes Fusion does, it could arguably be 3rd.

Brilliant is only up here because of its legacy impact. It's completely free in MD and no one really uses it. A double summon every turn isn't as powerful today anymore. It's kept at #5 for now but probably could be dropped lower.

Which one would be 6th? My hunch goes to Shaddoll Fusion. Nephilim has been powercrept a little bit, but Midrash is still a pretty good summon. Plus, Shaddoll Fusion's restriction, in spite of depending on your opponent, is pretty reliable. You just can't use it when going first.

7th? I really don't know, the others either don't have impactful monsters, or are too restrictive, a lot of them only allow you to use 1 monster from your deck, instead of all. I almost want to say 7th is the OG Future Fusion, it's delayed for a turn, but the only other card that can dump 5 or more is Void Imagination. Which I don't have enough knowledge about.

Dinomorphia Frenzy is probably worth mentioning, considering it can also use cards in the Extra Deck as material.

Itself is a trap, plus it couldn't really be used outside its own deck. And Dinomorphia is the yugioh version of "start in red HP to do double damage" or similar status in Action or Musou games, but worse.

OG Future Fusion was never actually used for fusing and it's still probably the best "fusion" card ever printed. When you can dump five dragons to grave, you don't even care what happens afterwards.

Not in Master Duel and not in the OCG either and until that's going to change Red-Eyes has nothing that even remotely compares to the current standard (or even just the other ones).

The Fusion card is also horrendous, while GY set-up from Deck is something the archtype actually wants it is also the only thing the card has going for it and the pay-off is just not worth the price as even "Dragoon pass" would not be a viable strategy. At least Neos Fusion is "after this card resolves" (meaning you can can do other stuff beforehand and most importantly you don't get screwed over by Ash) and it also doubles as destruction protection for the summoned monster.
