It’s not fun, it’s not Yugioh
that game needs new rules, needs to stop fomenting cheating, and dismiss these creators of cards addicted to Quick Effect cards, this game is a turn game, should be strategic and not this filth of Massive Quick effects, currently the game does everything to facilitate the entry of players cheaters and expels all so veterans and fans of the game, there is no more strategy in this game, it is only dirty tactics that offend the user and rot the fame of the game, There’s enough time to stop destroying gameplay and return to origins, dueling with unique tactics, adopting archetypes and the damn "link" is by far the worst idea they’ve ever had, completely massacred the game, not even the link-inspired anime attracts players, is really disgusting to play Yugioh in 2023.

I don't know if you're being genuine or baiting for points but I'm gonna lay it out for you anyway.
This is YuGiOh. This game has always been a broken mess. You only remember it not being so because you played old school and watched the cartoon. It's always been a very competitive game and that's never going to change. It's how Konami makes their money, profiting off of the individual's competitive nature. Maybe it wasn't when the game released, but with every new card game it's bound to become sweaty at some point.
It's only gotten worse and it isn't getting any better. Venting and complaining about it in the Steam forums isn't going to change anything. You're just gonna give shills a reason to defend this game and laugh at you. Go play MTG, specifically Commander format. It's great fun in comparison to the dumpster fire that is yugioh. Just avoid every other format because it's basically just yugioh but with more strategy involved.

The funniest part is that they actually did do exactly what you want with Rush Duels, and then refused to release them in the US for no good reason.

They did add rush to duel links, though.

But also... Yugiboomers need to stop seething lmao. When i played yugioh as a kid i enjoyed cloudians and hyabusa OTK. As an adult i enjoy Tear and icejade.

I am the King of Games.
Quick effects aren't really the issue. It's what those quick effects do.

For example, Runick's quickplay spells are hardly broken. They either trade 1 for 1 by destroying a S/T, or a special summoned monster or search out another Runick QP spell or they go -1 on every interaction via an effect negate or one of the odd ones that mostly just mill the opponent as their effect.

Outside of going +6 off of 2 Fountains or turboing out floodgates WITH those QP spells, it's fairly tame...annoying? Absolutely...losing your out to a random banish/mill sucks and isn't fun but at least you're allowed to play the game with loads of normal, healthy interaction points.

On the flip side you have crap like Naturia who's quick effect spam is all about negating everything the opponent does or you have stuff like Lab which is searching out and setting floodgates.

Konami just made extra deck boss monsters too accessible so the end result of combos typically results in a toxic gamestate where they either get their field negated and wiped or they negate everything you do.

Too late to walk that back but it isn't too late to hit the problem generic extra dec kboss monsters or crap that tutors out floodgates.

this is not even close to what real Yu-Gi-Oh was, with the introduction of Pendulum, XYZ and Links, everything became broken, sure there used to be powerful decks back in the day, but very rare would you get an OTK, whereas these days if you don't get OTKs your pretty much guaranteed to lose and apparently your considered 'trash' for not running those broken decks

Reading all of these comments has made me realize how passionate and driven you all must be. I can only imagine the effort and passion that goes into things that actually matter if you're all this invested in a long dead card game.

Please.
