I don't get how people still play yugioh

every single variation of yugioh is a snooze fest, it's not like chess to say that ur smarter than ur opponent and u won because of it, it's not like fifa to have daily content, it's not as if the game itself offers anything, you just log on every day like a cow and collect your gems and repeat the same thing over and over for weeks, until the ''CONTENT'' drops. which is some stupid field or weird dressed underage girl avatar that glows for some reason, and everyone is happy, there is no such thing as a competitive scene, konami makes another dc cup with the same format we've had for years in trash duel links, it's like this game can just never evolve from the idiots that govern it man

You would think they have better things to do I can't think of a game I hate that I actively discuss the closest would be my passive hate for souls games after people kept pushing it on me but I don't seek it out.

The art is good. The animations are good. The game is a bit luck based but thats not a problem for me, other than that the game mechanics are fine imo. 1240+ hours into this game without paying one cent and i keep going.

I like it and there is no alternative. Like perhaps I would play a different card game like Yugioh if one existed, but it doesn't. Unlike with MTG and Hearthstone there is no other option like it. I don't play MTG and Hearthstone because Legends of Runeterra is better than both. There are dozens of options and better versions have even died before which sucked. Yugioh has no such alternative. Its Yugioh or nothing.

As someone who has played a ton of other card games on the market there is a reason I've come back to and stuck with Yugioh the most. While other card games feel like a race, Yugioh feels more like a puzzle with each new game giving you a different scenario to solve. Sure; some games you don't have all the pieces. Sure; some games are total blowouts. But the card slinging aspect, it's unique archetypes and gameplay which sets it different from other games on the market which usually is your standard resource based gameplay is why I personally enjoy it. I would say the only other card game I've had more fun in than Yugioh would be infinity wars. Of course this is just my take and why I enjoy playing this game casually.

I am playing because there is no online Digimon card game aside from the Table Top Simulator one, but surely by this point no one can pretend to not want to play the game because of maxx c.

They won't ban maxx c focus your anger on what matters, ban kashtira and especially Arise

Kashtira, more like bricktira, they literally killed the consistency and there so many outs like Kurikara, Zeus or sum ♥♥♥♥, there no point to ban Arise in my opinion but they could limit some kashtira card for sure

except there is skill expression, its always gonna be did you draw the right cards at the right time like literally every other card game is, sometimes you lose to variance, gg go next no need to cry and moan about it
