A long time ago, it wasn't uncommon to see cheaters turn every SR and UR in their deck into a Royal Rare (which, you know, could be done legit but given how insanely expensive and time-consuming it would be I think Occam's Razor would dictate that they're probably cheating). There was also a thing for a while, which got patched pretty quickly, where if the cheater were put into a losing position they would force the opponent to d/c. Lastly, there was a massive issue that persisted for the entire first year and a half of Master Duel's existence where there was just a deluge of bots playing FTK decks to farm gems. At its worst, people were having 80+% of their games be against FTK bots.
It doesn't matter though since they don't ban anyone for anything except gem exploits.
Especially as a new or growing player, not knowing the cards, it's quite alot to ask to keep track of every single card effect of cards that get pitched into the GY as well.
Anything Untapped's tracker can do is doable with a piece of paper.
