One nasty reason why Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon will never be unbanned

Did a bit of thinking (as I have way too much time to do that these days XD) as to whether or not banning Verte would allow for Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon to be unbanned without major issue, and managed to find a good reason as to why that wouldn't happen.

Branded Fusion.

Basically put: Branded Fusion, use Dark Magician and Fallen of Albaz to summon Lubellion. Then use Lubellion's effect, returning Dark Magician and Fallen of Albaz (or Lubellion) to the deck to use them as material, to summon Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon. (as Albaz is an effect Dragon, he qualifies as fusion material for Dark Dragoon)

I may or may not be late to the party on this one.

As far as I know that's what's done in the TCG to summon Dragoon.

Well seeing as that play option's a no-go in MD, and I don't play the TCG (few irl friends, none who are interested in the game, plus I only got 3 cards XD), I think I can be forgiven.

might as well bring it back to 1 since the game is already so busted anyway. considering branded loses to so many staples like ash, veiler, impermanence, it doesn't matter. red eyes gets one good card and it's banned. so lame

I love how everyone keeps saying they are sick of Branded, but Branded isn't even that strong anymore. Oh boy, you guys have no idea what is about to come. Spright is already a plague, but Tearlament is going to really bring it to the next level.

My guess is most of you are Gold players given the reference to Branded. To be honest, Branded isn't that popular in the Meta deck right now considering there are far more powerful decks to play.

Its really just Branded fusion that keeps the deck alive and even then its not that strong. If they were to make any changes I would rather Aluber to 3 and branded fusion to 1 but thats about it

Branded may not be super strong CURRENTLY, but it gets a whole lot more powerful after the Bystials, new spell/trap support, new Fusions and Cartesia. Simply Ashing Fusion isn't enough anymore. It also got completely overshadowed by Tearlaments, which is why you didn't hear about it for quite awhile. It's making a significant comeback now that Tear has been practically demolished.
