Depends on deck honestly.

60 card decks tend to be mill/Ishizu variants with That Grass Looks Greener, and while they may be strong, there's a lot of strong 40 card decks too, such as Sprights, Rikka, Branded, Swordsoul, and more.

60 card Chad players obviously but not all decks can do it 40 is generally accepted as its consistent

Almost entirely comes down to whether you are milling with grass. Beyond that its just a matter of working out how your cards work. If you can do your plays with enough starters a 60 card deck is always good.

60 harder for others to get rid of all 60 cards compare to 40
on the other hand u have a higher chance to draw the cards u need with 40(a little bit)

well u can work around both so ...

Find out what best works for you. All of my decks tend to be a 40 card deck and that works best for me.

Depends on how many openers your deck has. 40 card decks have 1 - 6 normal summons and several ways of getting to that combo piece. if your deck lacks searchable tools or uses too much extra deck space in a simple 40 card deck then I personally avoid going to 60.

I would go 40-45 for consistency sake

Most decks I run 40 cards because the game hates me so I don't want to rely on drawing grass or ishizu cards to make my deck function. That said sometimes I will run anywhere between 40-45 cards if I can't decide what to cut, but always use the test draws to make sure it's still consistent. The rule I use is I won't play a deck unless 8 out of 10 hands are playable.

Using the test draw.. a very good advice to check the consistency of the deck

Generally, the only times you'd probably use 60 cards is with mill decks like Ishizu or Lightsworn. Other times I'd say it's more ideal for playing 40 cards for consistency's sake
