That's impressive.
now it's JUST a boring solitaire deck that puts up infinity negates.
maybe a few more people will play it now that adamancipators are being taken out back and shot by konami (RIP BOZO Block Dragon) but there are plenty of other decks that fill the niche of degenerate combo decks.
Have found more success in a hybrid take; half Dark World and half Divine Beasts. They alone help summon Ravioli if I don't get one of the summoning/beckoning beasts, and the discard draws just get me free blockers or whatever. Mixed with some other special summon stuff and Dark World dudes make a lot of handy XYZs/Tuner fodder.
Tearlaments, Bystials, Dimension Shifter and soon to be Kash when they get Macro on legs.
The support didn't drop soon enough to be able to have breathing room to play.
I guess that's what's referred to as double standards.
Then you completely missed the point of the comment.
So far, people gave flak to almost everyone who plays anything good, regardless of reason, hell, I was told a few times by people on the forum that the reason why I play Tearlaments isn't because they are cute waifus, but because I'm a meta slave that only cares about winning. Salad also had similar reactions, despite him being a guy that plays mill focused decks for forever.
But on this thread, people outright state that they'd only play that deck if it was able to do it's toxic stuff, and nobody has an issue with it.
Also people don't care about hypotheticals as much. Its not beating them in ranked after all. It might not even BE meta. "toxic" doesn't just mean meta after all. FTKs are toxic but aren't Meta and thus while crossover exists people don't all hate on it at the same time as hating on Meta. Its like how the Meta haters tend to love stun decks. Anti Meta they call it. Its not about what decks are the least fun or anything, its about what annoys them.
