There are a bunch of monster cards that you can activate more than once a turn without having game-changing results, so a blanket ban on all monsters wouldn't be a good idea IMO.
Not a bad idea, just an unrealistic one that would change a huge amount of stuff from trashy non-tiered homebrew decks all the way up to T1.
I assume he meant "should be used" cause thats what he explains in his wall of text. Cause if he is saying "used to be" than I'm pretty sure thats inaccurate cause sangan was released in like the second tcg booster pack and that sure as heck wasn't once per turn in the card text.
Then rinse and repeat that business model thoughout the game's lifespan.
There's smarter ways to push new product than to take a torch into the gasoline fume-filled room that is their card pool.
But it's way too late for that now.
