any way to play old yugioh

Is there a way to filter out oponenets with old style decks
no stupid XYZ / pendulum / maybe not even synchro?

I tryed returning to yugioh but srsly waiting 5 minutes on my oponents first turn to play. Ha no thanks. Thats the biggest waste of time ever.
otherwise Im just gona download old yugioh games for gameboy or something from 2006 to 2010 ish so I dont have to wait one eternity for oponenets first turn

Newsflash, the yugioh you knew as a kid only existed on the playground level where everyone had crap decks and the anime was the hypest thing, if you cant find a group of buds to just play casual yugioh together you wont have fun, because the competitive level of yugioh was always just who could piss off the opponent more. But instead of Yata Lock its Negates and Special Summoning.

Yes, there were tier 0 decks since the game inception.

But the problem with modern yu-gi-oh is that every new card is a combo starter that enables you search X and summon Y others cards. It's not fun watching your opponent playing solitaire for five minutes.

I mean, most of the traps are useless now. You either have a hand trap on your first turn or you concede.

At least Tele-DaD mirror matches were fun, turns didn't take more than one minute.

The funniest thing about the OP is that full-power Tearlaments only used fusions and was so insanely degenerate that it did its 5 minute nonsense combos on your turn. When you went first.

I agree with you man Ive been saying the same thing on Reddit but to many window licking gen z kids who like playing a game with no real thought involved i sent you a friend request if you want to try any play in the future I play with older cards and don't use the XYZ and those other styles and usually only use one copy of each card but I usually play duel links I haven spent to much time on master but if your willing to play I'll do whichever lmk I need more friends who are looking to only play classic Yu-Gi-Oh
