any way to play old yugioh

Is there a way to filter out oponenets with old style decks
no stupid XYZ / pendulum / maybe not even synchro?

I tryed returning to yugioh but srsly waiting 5 minutes on my oponents first turn to play. Ha no thanks. Thats the biggest waste of time ever.
otherwise Im just gona download old yugioh games for gameboy or something from 2006 to 2010 ish so I dont have to wait one eternity for oponenets first turn

The only real way you're going to get people playing that style is through something like Discord.

You can play the solo mode. If you want to play live duels though, no there's no way to avoid the solitaire crowd.

What a shame. This new yugioh isnt for me anymore. Waiting 5-10 mins for someone to finish first turn and then playing solitaire isnt fun.

Newsflash, the yugioh you knew as a kid only existed on the playground level where everyone had crap decks and the anime was the hypest thing, if you cant find a group of buds to just play casual yugioh together you wont have fun, because the competitive level of yugioh was always just who could piss off the opponent more. But instead of Yata Lock its Negates and Special Summoning.

Thats pretty wise, i even dont thinks they survive this round... at least the low card, then came it and started with gaia (yeah guys this was a year ago...) one year later we are at kashtira... yeah...
I would love to see with how many powercreep effects Konami will come on until its get complety brocken and just the first 10 percent a playing it...

The game is extremely active and yugioh has been getting very popular again recently, that of course brings out all the boomers that dont know how to just go with the flow. Ive been a fan of the anime since the beginning and actively played during the Synchro Era. I came back when Links were intorduced and I simply just learned how the game changed instead of whining about how my Stardust Dragon pass wasnt viable anymore. The game isnt going to die because people dont know what Pentadactyl Summon is with the Extra Exdee Sauce.

look i dont might that there are new ways to play it but im stuck waiting for my opponent to play his long combo just to make the game unplayable with his link cards or what ever he has. u have 300 seconds or something to make your move and they just keep going for a long time making more moves than u can think to make its making the game unplayable
