No, i don't play Tear anymore. I play Live Twin Spright now. Honestly yes it's meta but just like Tear its fun.
I recommend anyone to atleast look up how Live Twin Spright plays, if you don't like Tear you might like it. Even tho it's on the more boring side of interaction than Tear. There's something about the resource loop that makes it very satisfying.
Funnily enough i used to not enjoy meta decks. Not in the "i hate meta players BLEH" but in the "I wish i found meta decks enjoyable to play" and now that 2 of the top decks are actually fun to me. I'm having more fun climbing the ladder. I play more sparingly now that i got other stuff to do so only at Diamond 4 for this season. But i think that's okay.
They don't play ♥♥♥♥♥♥ p*ssy meta decks, if you don't have friends to play this way then yeah it sucks, ranked is disgusting
Does that satisfy because at this point I really don't know what else to say sorry you weren't enjoying yourself but tear is also not stomping everything now still top tier but not the only good deck
Rinse/repeat.
Decks like Runic/Spright and Tear just ruin my experince with this game.
Its just whoever can nope the other opponent the most or floodgate/stun you out.
If I get to do my thing, cool. If I don't, then I'll try again next game, regardless of what Deck my opponent uses.
In all seriousness my best suggestion is find a rogue strategy that at least works for you, stands up relatively well against the meta and is fun to play for you. I barely see anyone actually care about rank unless you have some career involving it or are outrageously sweaty so banging your head against the wall with tears in your eyes ain't worth it. Just do you and have a good time.
I quit before Sprights released, knowing they would be annoying as hell to play against and Tear would be right on their heels and no better. I was right, but also heard of Bystials coming out after that. Which happens to slot perfectly into my normal Blue-Eyes deck and is made for the Branded deck I put together before calling it quits. Re-downloaded MD the week they came out.
At the end of the day, I have my pet deck I have fun with, and that's all that really matters. Not winning or losing, and obsessively chasing the best meta is a pointless waste of effort and money that only results in salt and frustration when you inevitably find people more lucky (or "skilled") than you. There's better ways to get personal validation, just relax and have fun with it. If more people did, there'd be a hell of a lot less toxicity in the community.
I play MD because I want to challange meta with my deck, and looking how far I could get with it. It is worth noting that this is bo1 format, which mean you could play something unexpected.
If I somehow want to relax in yugioh, I played tag force instead or sticking in solo mode to try out decks. Sometimes I role playing into the lore itself. Just like playing with toys, you know 😂
There is line between pvp and single player games so i exactly know what i get into. There is no need to force ourself to play something we didn't find it interesting. That game might be not for everyone in general.
I mean I play both ESO and skyrim and i find the pvp in ESO is kinda too extreme so I just stick to single player content. They do their things, and so do I.
