Gives us a reason to run Fusion Deployment too, with her fusion card being able to dump a Bystial is just icing on the cake too, but more over having her on field giving you a fusion on the other players turn really helps complete the branded combos for turn one.

?Guiding Quem, the Virtuous. This is a terrible card, it can dump what, "Albion" which dumps retribution & doesn't combo into anything? you'd never want to summon this turn one over any other monster you'd normally combo off with, seems like a win more card no different than Albaz the Ashen.

No Angel is quite right. Quem is insane and opens up a ton of plays for the deck post CYAC.

Cartesia is a ridiculous card. They just decided that branded doesn't have enough plus cards, so they added a free quick effect fusion that returns to your hand every turn and can be summoned directly from the deck. The card is a secret rare in the same set as some of the most popular cards of the current format (kashtira fenrir and lady labrynth, to name a few) and still costs $50+ per copy. MD branded versus TCG branded look like completely different decks based on their end boards, and blazing cartesia is a big reason why

?+Card, it's just a combo extender & follow up turn card, it makes the first turn board more consistence, + adds a counter play on the other players turn which makes it very valuable no different than tears.

I grabbed a box of that set. Pulled a starlight Cartesia. I will literally never use it in a deck irl, so it just kinda sits there looking pretty.

In MD though, I am making myself a janky ritual/fusion Dogmatica deck. Going to have one copy of it included. Because it just seems that good to not even run one.

90% of it's support is useless but it really melds well with other decks which have support around Albaz.

Side Chicks, Kitt, The Virtuous, Cartesia/Ecclesia/Dogmatika Support.
Bromanced, with the Golden Swordsouls.
Pet Tri-Bird. Dragon/Dragonform/Fusions.
Despia/Bystial Allies.

Albaz has made a lot of friends, almost needs his own anime at this point, the power of friendship is real jk, almost has more support than Dark Magician or Blue-Eyes, maybe maybe I'd have to check the math on that one.

Kinda makes me want to know his whole backstory.

That said, anyone got any articles/videos on the new Virtuous Branded cards? Haven't looked into them myself.

There's a couple on Youtube. Solemn Vanguard put up a Branded list styled after a build that got 2nd at a YCS post PHHY. He also shows one of the lines. Cartesia's inclusion mainly allows you to get more graveyard setup with her Fusion, and lets you dodge Veiler/Imperm targeting your Aluber/Lubellion.
