Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel

Diamond and Master just are not fun.
Unless you are playing Ultra Athlete (Won againsy Tearlament and Kash, suck it meta) but seriously playing Meta over and over again is more than annoying and frustrating, mindless, it is like sitting in front of a slot machine and Maxx C should be banned, I don't think there is an argument to be had anymore.

We all have heard it before but it is not overstated, Maxx C sucks.
It is universally hated by everyone but Konami and I honestly I do not see why it is around.

If Master duel was a local, I'd be straight up shunning anyone that plays Kashira myself and encouraging others to do the same. Which is a position I didn't think I'd be pushed into, tbh. It is the definition of a try-hard deck that cares far more about winning than having fun, and we as players don't have to deal with anyone using it. If they want to actually play the game and not just farm meaningless wins, they can choose to play something else. There are plenty of other decks that arn't as obnoxious, like Runick.

Far as Maxx C goes, I've started ignoring it as a card. Either I can lose to choosing to not play into it and getting OTK'd with no defenders, or I can lose by playing my deck and giving them enough card advantage to make them nauseous. I'll take the option where I actually play my deck. There are better targets I can use my Calleds and Ashs on anyway.

The moment someone step to those high rank match, it should be expected they are trying to win.
As we all know ranked down aren't really feel good especially if someone has played like hours to rank up. I think anyone that win that much up to those rank literally beating so many "weaker deck", which from their view point that deck is toxic or not fun as well. At the end of the day the winning deck would be " Not fun" deck, from certain player view points.

It is not just meta. Even the anti meta itself would be considered "boring" for some people.

Only way to have fun and a fair competition is custom formats. It's like when smbb came out and meta Knight was too busted so fans created more balanced/fun game, project m

There are actually quite a few people, especially is asia who are completely fine with Maxx C. They are wrong and misunderstand what Maxx C does to the game but they do want it to stick around.

This is why we have Casual, you play Meta in Ranked and in Casual anything else for fun, if you run into some clown playing meta in casual you skip it till you get a normal player.

the issue is people want to earn gems and duel pass points without having to sit there and let Kash or Tear ram your ass 10 times in a row. This is why I intentionally stay in Gold and play D/D/D, a deck that checks off as many daily missions as possible

hence why the only people who want maxx c to stay are ocg pilled, new players who don't understand what it really does or floodgate droolers who aren't effected by maxx c

Same decks in all ranks. Just dont climb that high is not a solution anymore when gold rank is dead and all players are forced into plat where all meta deck are crawling.

gold isn't dead lol, and even if meta decks are in plat they pilot them like babies so they aren't even that bad lol, hell even plat has plenty of diversity, sure its got the meta decks but thats kinda how it is lmao

It really wouldn't be a problem if the ladder worked like a ladder. Sadly every rank from rookie through gold has no reason to exist thanks to the inability to derank.

(I mean, c'mon, I'm playing Trains without Infinitrack and Raidraptors from 2016; I should not be anywhere ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ near plat, and yet, here I am, suffering through the same three decks every game)

you used to be able to derank but they stopped it because people were purposly deranking so they could get more gems the next month, honestly its better this way especially in a game as coinflippy as yugioh, sometimes you lose enough to derank an entire division in a row now imagine if you could actually derank

if you mean otk trains its not a horrible deck, definitely works in plat/diamond still, hell a few people even got to master with it
DeathArcanaXIII Aug 17, 2023 @ 8:25am
I log in today on D1, hoping to get to Master, i lost 5 in a row to Kasthira and Tear, the most annoying part that tilted me was that fact that ALL OF THESE 5 MATCHES the opp literally picked is hand, if i had ASH they had called by, if trying to max C they had Ash, and they i think "Ok fine my field still there" just for them to enter in the battle phase and drop evenly, i swear to God all my 5 matches were exactly the SAME... i try to believe the game isn't rigged, but this ♥♥♥♥ happen so often that i losing my faith.

I'm not even saying that dropping out of gold or plat is entirely what I'm asking for. It just sucks that if I really don't care about moving past silver, for instance, I have to just stop playing ladder all together as soon as I hit Gold 1. The ability to move around in those ranks, rather than just exclusively moving up (not necessarily dropping from plat to gold, for example) would actually let players spread out in the other ranks/divs, and give them purpose beyond being the ranks people slam their head into until they make it to plat; since you don't need skill or even a good deck to escape gold, just enough time.

And nah, it's my old list from when Switchyard dropped. Just added Liebe and Pente to brush off the dust a bit. It's still running with Exodius and Malefic Cyber End lmao.

They dont want you to get those extra 500 gems each season. Thats why.
