How does Kashtira make you feel?
I realized a few days ago that Kashtira is almost certainly coming next month and now I have the big sadge.

I thought hearing the Community's thoughts might help me keep my sanity in the coming darkness

Pretty much this.

Not going to bother playing against it lol. Just auto surrender unless I happen to be running a deck that stands a chance. Same as tear and all the other powercreep meta decks.

Why? Unlike Tearlament, Kashtira is pretty much dead against the classics you have come to expect.
Evenly Match
Kaijus
Sphere Mode
Lava Golem
Dark Ruler No More
Dark Hole even.
and of course Maxx C.

It won't be as dominant, but it would be up there. I just want their card: Kashtira Birth. Fenrir goes in all decks.

It locks spell/trap zones too, so the spells and traps would be dead if Kash is at full power on launch and I don't really like running Kaijus.

Like I said, if I am on a deck that could actually win, sure I might watch youtube until their combo is done, if not I will just scoop after seeing what they are using.

Ima TCG player man they cant block u enough without the number
3 books of moon for the S-la or that ridiculous XYZ 3 and u have more chance to break his board than against Tear

It's definitely more fair than tear. There are more outs and they can't do nearly as much on your turn. If they hit diablosis, the strongest card in the deck is probably just going to be dimensional shifter tbh. That or playing fenrir control under maxx "C". Arise-heart can be pretty annoying and disruptive to some decks but it takes a lot of setup to give it any kind of protection and prosperity is at 1 in MD so goliath isn't going to be reliable

Honestly not fun to play against especially with the 2nd wave of cards coming out. Locking down zones was the main benefit of the ojamas back in the day, but that combined with a super macros cosmos and an infinite loop banishing combo it’s dumb! You play a card, I banish it, and block out the zone. It’s just too much.

Honestly I have yet to be zone locked enough to care. Ojama's have done a better job of that. You need to lock every zone to really do something and current kash doesn't seem capable of doing that. The macro sucks but even that is typically less annoying than literal macro or D fissure since its a monster. Killing a monster is pretty simple. They have to draw real well to make it actually hurt.

Not just pretty well, you need to get pretty much a perfect 5-card hand to zone lock through zero disruption. Since they banned diablosis before arise-heart came out, MD has never had a zone lock format. It's a boogeyman that never actually existed here. The most they can realistically do is lock 2-3 zones, and very few decks are actually hurt by that

Real well does not mean pretty well. Real well is way better than pretty well. Also I said hurt. Which doesn't mean all zones but rather 8 zones. However Ariseheart seems to have made them less focused on locking so they never do more than 4 in 1 turn like you say. Which only hurts monster combo decks with no spells.

The lockout kash boogeyman was indeed killed in the womb.
