Do something about UR materials KONAMI
I see youtubers having 0 or close to 0 UR crafting material. Some of them paid thousand of dollars and still have 0 UR material. So, if they can't afford to craft all the cards they want, what about the rest of us? I'm not collecting yu-gi-oh cards, but the digital game seems to be more expensive than the TCG.

The TCG is way more expensive lol

Maybe these youtubers are just making decks that need a lot of URs that they cannot afford to dust or they are bad at saving materials

I had like 12 UR material and I crafted Spright on a whim last night in 3 10 pulls

It isn't so much about wanting cards, Youtubers are pressured to craft/pull the new cards for content. Running the same deck for months gets repetitive/boring to watch
This game gets low stream views as it is

You can't sell digital cards so Master Duel will always be a net loss

While I fully agree with the bogus pull rates that seem to be getting worse, compounded by having a dozen or more URs in each pack, you can't spend $1,000 and get no UR dust. If you spend $1,000, you'll end up with 76,097 gems (PC/Steam rates, excluding special deals), good enough for 760 packs, 76 10-pulls. Since you're guaranteed at least 1 UR every other 10-pull, in the absolute worst case scenario, $1,000 would get you 38 URs.

What really annoys me is how many URs are in each pack, and it's getting worse. At some point we're going to have 20 or so different URs in each pack so the odds of getting the ones you need will be utterly abysmal.

This. It is effectively impossible to own every card in the real game, even if you don't count Tyler.

UR materials are fine. Those people spent them all making gimmick decks for content. As a FTP player I treasure my resources so I always have a few hundred materials on hand for when I need to craft stuff like the Ishizu cards I just crafted. If you just play like you would the physical game you will be fine, better than fine even since you get enough from FTP to keep up.

The pull rates are fine. At most we should just guarantee a UR from every 10 pull.

Indeed, you need to be literally a billionaire to even consider it.

Those youtubers don't have UR materials because they don't need to hoard them, they just buy what they need because making content is literally their job.

Honestly, a guarantee UR from every 10 pulls feels almost required because of how many URs Konami is jamming down out throats. On top of that, it'd be nice if this counted individual packs towards that total.

My biggest gripe the packs in general. Secret Packs disappearing is mildly annoying, Konami is totally dropping the ball on making new Secret Packs, and Selection Packs disappearing means those whom hadn't played when a specific pack was available got screwed over. Personally, I really wish Secret Packs didn't include so many Master Pack cards.

That's a pretty poor metric, content creators are constantly building new decks either when something new gets released or if they want to make a video on le funny gimmick deck. They also "need" to get it all on the day it drops, so they can't just take their time building the deck as they get gems from missions and events like the regular players do. They can whale out $60 for gems, pull a bunch of packs, craft everything missing, dust some old decks if they don't have enough, and repeat that as often as they want because the content makes more money than they spent on the gems. The average player is not going to go through cards anywhere near that fast, and if you really just want to have everything immediately, you'll have to pay for that impatience.

I can make any deck I want for free just by playing and passively earning gems for a few weeks, but no amount of waiting will let me get a free baronne de fleur irl when it's still going for $50+ per copy even after a reprint
Exvalcore Mar 10, 2023 @ 10:33pm
? why would anyone have UR? you don't buy UR you only get it if you're dismantling a shiny/extra copy of a unneeded card, 2 copies of a limit one card for example, we get plenty of UR pts throughout the year, at least 13 from just the gold pass alone, about 1 per month, put in the time & you'll have cards to build decks with, or by your decks, the bonus UR we got from all the structure decks helped alot too, for those who bought the cards before they came out, & those who didn't saved even more gems.

The game has been very generous UR wise, but it could be better, I'd like to be able to dismantle legacy pack URs for 5pts that way they can literally be farmed as any well designed game should allow, that would fix 99% of all the crafting Issues besides unique one time cards via ALT.ART.
ominumi Mar 10, 2023 @ 10:39pm
There's tons of staples that are UR in Master Duel. We can barely get 1 per ten pack. Of course people don't have extra dust to craft new UR cards.
skill issue Mar 11, 2023 @ 3:59am
the fact that all the good staples are UR and not in packs is straight up robbery, Being generous you get about 2 UR every 10 packs which is 20 UR dusts, which is 4500 gems for a 3x, disgusting, with money is like 50-60$, for 3 cards lmao

I am F2P and I have over 1,200 UR crafting points. I think crafting should be nerfed.

If they can be farmed, then what's preventing me from using a bot?
Exvalcore Mar 11, 2023 @ 11:03am
? why aren't you botting in another game selling the loot to buy yugioh card packs, because bots are going to bot regardless, sure a few more botters will pop up seeing the additional UR as worthwhile but it doesn't really effect us any, there is no different vs Kaiba summoning a Blue-eye Ultimate Dragon vs his duel bot, just draw the out, Obelisk the Tormentor.
