Yea, 4 wins per rank is dumb, but I'm going to try to diamond one which is fine I guess, it's very dumb I didn't know you need 4 wins, likely 5 in diamond, the rest of the month is going to be super annoying, I already want back in gold.

Platinum and Diamond are more for competitive players. It only makes sense that you need more wins.

No it's dog $hit, bull $hit & all other forms of $hit. Literally 50/50 can't climb I got PLAT4 randomly from luck surrenders then all the combo decks knocked me down PLAT RANK SUCKS PERIOD, it's designed to let the worst types of decks exploit their way to the top & force everyone else from earning gems.

Needing 4 more wins when you get knocked down a rank is terrible.

I managed to pull a gaint spright & starter, & got the elf last 10 pull, & I have the runick field so I've enough cards to make a bad version of the deck which plagues master duel.

Wish me luck as I farm losers, I added some good back row removal too for mirrors.

I don't know what you mean by "worst types of decks" given there are truly some abominations out there (Looking at you Floodgate Runick), but you simply need to expect them and build your deck with the understanding you'll play them. Gold decks will generally not survive Platinum and Diamond. Most Platinum and Diamond decks require staple cards that change each format.

All that being said, Platinum and Diamond can be extremely infuriating at times. At those ranks, luck matters a lot more than skill. Going second generally requires you to just luck out and draw the out or pray you can get Maxx "C" off. To be honest, the current banlist just kind of sucks. You choose a terrible time to go into Platinum.

I still stand by what I said when I said that climbing is too easy as is.

While this might sound anime level cringe, you really don't have a bond with your decks. You seem to always go for the meta decks and complain, when Branded Despia was the big meta deck, you were playing in Gold, you played KFC when it was the big thing, to be frank, I'm surprised you've yet to move to Runick Spright.

I'm in Play right now, and I don't feel like I'm having issues winning, and I'm playing D/D/D, which is nowhere close to meta. I've had ugly losses because I don't know all my combos yet, and I know it's because I don't know all the lines because I've watched others play with similar hands in similar situations and they owned the opponent through multiple interruptions. I've checked a D/D/D list on MDM, and right now I can't play with that list, despite having all the cards for it. Guy's running only 2 Gilgamesh, doesn't run Cerberus, Typhon or Zero King Rage, and right now, with my current knowledge of the deck, I can't see all the lines that would be needed for that version of the deck, yet he told me he doesn't miss those cards not feels the need for them.

Looking at that guy, then looking at you, you're a defeatist, that's what makes it hard for you. You want the easy way to the top so you can then try to have fun, rather than finding a deck or two that you really enjoy and having fun going to the top with those decks. NGL, I pity you.

Change your mentality and time you won't have these issues anymore.

I did just move to spright, & I got my first rank up with it, had to practice a bit but Runick/Spright/Twin Works very well as suspected/

I think you're doing something wrong, you said you have the Despia deck and it's easy to climb up to Diamond 1 with it. All you need to do against Runick is to put 2 masquerade dragons on the field, they won't be able to deal with both at once, unless they have Lava golem. After that usually only one hit left to finish them off and it's possible to land 1 last hit with any monster and floodgates on the field. You can also add Virus cards to the Despia deck.

My Branded/Despia doesn't have enough backrow removal & can't break spright board, also I'm back down to Plat 5 because I was unless got two dryton/heralds who went first back to back with full negate 6 combo then I lost against branded who went first ironically enough.

Guardian Chimera is your removal. It is worth noting that with the Polymerization in the graveyard, this card becomes invulnerable to Runick cards. And Branded Opening can protect against Runick Flashing Fire.

Guardian Chimera is extremely hard to summon, & just gets negated when against sprights/runick, stop saying stupid $hit, I don't use poly either it's a trash card.
