This more than likely was a bot game. They had a default icon and Japanese name that read Blue Eyes White Dragon. Hopefully this doesn't grow into a bigger problem, since in my case I had no chance of winning. My only options were to surrender and give the bot the win or wait ~50 minutes to prevent them from getting a win but at the same time not losing or winning. This happened in a Gold 4 Ranked Duel and was my first time seeing this btw.
Trust me, this isn't gonna grow into a bigger problem because it's BEEN a problem for a long while. Next time you match with someone with a default everything, just alt-f4 and save yourself the time.
I know its a loss cause I encountered these A-holes a few times where I just need one more win to get promoted, they got first turn played 1 or 2 card and surrender, I got sent back to intro screen as if I got dc-ed, check my match history and no record of that match, then queue up for another match and I'm still on the same rank plus, the game didnt say I need one more win to get promoted.
This is one of the private cheats I've brought up several times in the forums and was made fun of because the idiots who uses it doesn't want people finding out about its existence. And it is a lot of people really.
They somehow can the extend timers for ridiculous amount of times by injecting lag or something. And not only in Draw Phase, but for any move and prompt in the duel.
This is the last of your concerns though. There are cheats that can see through set cards on the field and on the opponent hands as well. And also a cheat to top deck/arrange the starting hands.
