Shiranui Style Success's "activated from the GY" effect. (Soul Crossing was activated first in the chain link, so SSS's effect resolved first)
Q:
Due to the effect of Soul Crossing, I Tribute Summon a Divine-Beast monster, and am allowed to Tribute monsters my opponent controls even though I do not control them.
In this situation, can I also Tribute a monster my opponent controls that is unaffected by the effect of Soul Crossing?
A:
Even if a monster is unaffected by Spell effects, that monster can still be Tributed for the Tribute Summon.
The Tribute Summon is performed due to the effect of Soul Crossing, but any monsters Tributed are not Tributed due to its effect.
It directly contradicts all previous rulings.... that's fun. Konami is so consistent...
Edit:
Apparently their reasoning is that the effect is to perform a tribute summon, not to tribute a monster for a tribute summon so it counts as a cost.... Why do they do this...
Figures. Hell, The Monarchs Stormforth (something that's VERY similar to Soul Crossing) has the same ruling as LoD...
I swear, if I end up getting a stroke from this I'm sending Konami the bill. XD
The effects of the following cards are also not considered to affect cards in the hand, field, or GY, just like "Evenly Matched":
- "Apoqliphort Towers"
- "Battle of the Elements"
- "Brutal Beast Battle"
- "Bubble Crash"
- "Cyber Angel Dakini"
- "Cyber Angel Izana"
- "Evil★Twins Ki-sikil & Lil-la"
- "Extinction on Schedule"
- "Ferret Flames"
- "Forbidden Apocrypha"
- "Harr, Generaider Boss of Storms"
- "Herald of the Abyss"
- "Kashtira Big Bang"
- "Magikey Spirit - Vepartu"
- "Maple Maiden"
- "Millennium Revelation"
- "Rikka Flurries"
When "Destructive Daruma Karma Cannon" arrives to MD, then any unaffected monster card is not safe.
Card effect: "Change as many monsters on the field as possible to face-down Defense Position, then, if either player controls a face-up monster(s), they must send all face-up monsters they control to the GY."
First its targets all monsters on the field, then its targets both players.
If it was happened in the chain links, then its unaffected by its effect.

"...Your opponent’s Cyberdark End Dragon is unaffected by effects activated by the opponent, which means it is unaffected by the effect that applies when an effect’s resolution (Chain Link) occurs. However, it is still affected by effects that apply outside of a Chain Link’s resolution..."
I know that's how it works with Jinzo, but can't remember how unaffected works. This sort of thing is why MtG is on record that it can't do "unaffected" (while stuff like Prophecy and Archfiends are why it says it can't do Yugioh-style partial name matching)
Well Power Bond's atk boost effect works on Ancient Gear Howitzer (who's unaffected by card effects); likely because that effect does its thing before Howitzer's effect has the chance to apply itself. I'm just applying that logic to Skill Drain.
The problem is that negate doesn't equal card text being erased.
