What with the random shuffle algorithm both deck and facing opponents?
Let me say I have seen a better algorithm in a Tesco self checkout till. Just have many games in a row am i going to get three cards in a row or even two giving a 40 card deck (wished i had that luck when playing real poker). An then the amount of player that draw ash blossom or max x c in first turn is also wish i had that luck in real life.

I do think the algorithm is shifted to that of activation blizzard greedy doge practice of putting you against it so you by more cards with real money. I have not seen that type of luck in tournament play, it would be a very large percentage game of games pulling there best negate cards at the start of every round. I think the room reps would get worried something was going on with there decks.

Just wondering if anyone else has seen this happening or is it truly my bad luck that is taking place or dose Konami not have a clue how to program an algorithm (hint chat gpt can right one that would work better than this and it freeeee).

Just an observation not a rant.

confirmation bias, you remember when they "Draw the out" more then when they don't, if you checked you'd see that you sack people just as much as you sack them but you don't notice it, could also be a deck building issue if you don't have the right ratios

not to mention that it is such a small sample size that it realistically means nothing

I agree that most of it is probably confirmation bias, but the shuffling algorithm is definitely not great. It definitely algorithm definitely feels suspicious when you draw a one-of in your opening hand three games in a row.

statistically-wise 3 games is nothing, now if you did this over thousands+ of matches then you might have something

That's why I said it "feels" suspicious, not that it is suspicious.

I'm playing a 40 card deck and was forced to surrender casue my starting hand was 5 spell cards. Some months ago I got bricked 3 games in a raw with 4 spell cards and lvl 8 monster as starter. Shuffle system is bad indead but sometimes it also give you a good hand and heart of the card moments do exists.

certainly feels like master duel gives you bad hands on purpose, then you don't want your opponent to have one specific card and they ALWAYS have it lol
You're just noticing a string of bad luck, it's the way humans work. Also, you can make your luck worse by running bad, inconsistent decks.

But if you notice something funky going on, log of then log back on. If there's an error with the RNG then this should clear it.
