Worst event so far

Archetypes my ass; this event only ban some random cards and thats all. I'm running a burn deck with a lot of random cards; what kind of archetype is that???

Imho it's one of the best events yet. No meta decks, No Tier S Deck that wrecks evertything else. Lots of different viable decks. That's actually what I guess thats possibly the best experiences possible in modern yugioh. I actually had games that went back and forth for more than 2 turns! Thats actually quite amazing 0.o

I'm seeing many people bringing out their pet decks and am loving it. You'll always have the selftk decks and people running the meta to farm it out quickly, which appears to be crusadia, but I'm seeing a huge variety of different decks. It really feels like people are just bringing out what they like and putting some staples in it, without the staple win conditions like accesscode talker

The banlist is awkward when matched with the theme, and some card hits are questionable to me. But it's not a bad event overall IMO.

I personally prefer it when the loaner decks are weaker like this.
It gets kind of repetitive when you play against the same deck all the time. I've seen the each of the loaner decks used more than the Ghostrick deck in the XYZ Festival, and less than Swordsoul used in the same festival. So they're not obnoxiously abundant, but they're also not /complete/ garbage. *I might've messed up the event name

im ok with the weaker loaner too, especially after the synchro/xyz festival where every game was against swordsoul, but not in an event where everything is banned. I dont like to play an obnoxius and boring crusadia otk just to farm gems but it's literally my only choice if I want to play

I think is fine, most people I find seem to be using some kind of pet/casual deck so there is a lot of variety, really fun so far.

What decks do you own? They only really banned the more important cards in meta-relevant archetypes, or staples that can carry an entire deck by themselves. Even hand traps and generic tech cards like underworld goddess are legal lol. Plenty of people are playing decks that didn't appear in the solo modes but aren't strong enough to be worthy of banning. I have a full reptile pile of 3 different archetypes and the only card I had to replace for the event was accesscode talker

It would be great if they banned only the meta relevant cards, but no, they kept apollousa, they kept the knightmare package, masquerena and most of those strong generic cards, they kept really good engines like scrap dinos or rokket and banned a lot of decent but not impressive archetypes, like predaplants, despia (without branded/albaz package), dogmatika stuff, unchained or dragonmaid. I know what the point of the event was, im just disappointed for the loaners with such a huge banlist. And its a problem for anyone because what do you prefer to play against, a competent beetrooper or orcust or some cheap kaiju otk "let's hope i can steal this game on turn 2"

it feels very bad to be gaining only 50medals if you lose, like, how will i ever get 22k medals in the 10 days the event will be going with that, i am not very good at the game, i lose 90% of the matches, this dont feel fun at all

honestly, at this point i understand why there is so many bots in the game, i have a job and a life, i cant be sitting here for 4+ hours losing or getting disconected for 10 days to MAYBE get all medals

Play crusadia otk, you have to craft only 2 sr, crusadia equimax and crusadia magius. Avramax is strong but not necessary, you can win without him

To be fair at the very least since the event started I've had the most varied matches thus far and it's made me happy.
I'm not facing the same 4 decks of "Swordsoul" "Runick" "Branded" "Labrynth" over and over.

In just a couple days I've gotten to try against Plunder, Beetrooper, Skull servants, Monarchs, and lots others. So I'm certainly enjoying it.
...buuuut it really feels misleading with the fact that despite supposedly being about the solo-mode archetypes there's so many cards you don't see in solo mode (unless we're counting those weird mixed decks like the Danger Kuriboh?)

It used to be half. Then selfish manchildren kept ruining the event for everybody else with selftk decks to get all their shiny rewards. So now everybody else has to deal with the consequences. You can blame those people who gloated about getting through past events without ever playing a real match
