Where the meta involves the player going first flooding their board with negates and other control effects to prevent their opponent from playing.
And thanks to powercreep, card advantage and consistency are through the roof, resulting in whoever wins the coinflip to go first wins the duel 99/100 times when people are using meta decks.
But since the turn timer doesn't decrease when cards are being played, and there's tons of engines, recycling, searching, drawing, ED, and flooding methods-
It's not too uncommon for players to take a 10 minute long turns.
If you're unlucky, you'll even come across someone taking a 30 minute long turn right off the bat.
The pacing of this game is shot, and this has been an issue for over a year now.
You can always go into your match history and report people for "slow play" though. Gotta do what you can to clean up the place.
except most of the top decks don't even do that
So are you gonna tell me the names of the meta decks that build those huge boards? Or are you gonna keep running away when you can't defend your arguments?
Six Samurai might have the potential to make dumb boards, but there's a reason they aren't even rogue level, they simply are too fragile to a point where any interruption can be the death of them, and those decks run so many extenders that they actually need to start with that they themselves have no space for hand traps.
But if you're that scared of them, run a couple Nibiru, that and Maxx "C" ensures that you'll win almost every match Vs them.
While I agree in principle, the thing is, the amount of BS that can suddenly happen on GY effects alone sort of warrants this type of behavior. Especially in the current meta where just because someone has no cards on the field or in their hand, it does not mean they are out of the game yet.
The last time I didn't read while playing I used Maxx c on the pot card that doesn't let you special summon, so never again. I'm reading all your damn cards if I've never seen them or forget what they do.
Actually, scratch that. Salamangreat was considered meta on the ability to do the thing I said and not the thing you said. It was just plain powercrept. @Ignister is even funnier, seeing as their entire gameplan is to drop The Arrival Cyberse. They don't have interaction on your turn, but none of your interaction works either so it's "fair".
Salads, ignister and branded? Lol funny joke
Salads are heatsoul pass with war crime amounts of handtraps they draw into and the salad trap negate or accesscode update jammer otk, not exactly the giant board you're making it out to be
Ignister makes 1 single monster that can be outed by a common ED monster in goddess, not exactly the giant board you're making it out to be.
Branded makes icejade and maybe a masq at max, unless it vsing a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ player playing 3x masq turbo, not really the huge board you're making it out to be
