there seriously needs to be a time limit or limit to how many things you can do per turn, was excited to get back into yugioh but its a far fetch from what it use to be.. vsing xyc decks or any of this new ♥♥♥♥ is a nightmare, how can sitting there for 10-15 minutes watching your opponent seemingly summon like 5 different monsters with 3-4 fusions, a bunch of spells and chains all in one turn be fun?? 90% of the time the game is done that round or next.. lol. such a stupid design

Its just the absolute game ending and cheesy effects a lot of the new cards have. Yu-gi-oh is facing a "dragon ball z problem" in which each new card has to some how out do/play old cards.

Yu-gi-oh master duel already has a lot of people dropping the game. I dont get how you think avioding the problem that makes the gaming experience not work is going to improve it, in anyway. "go play another simulator" is such a nothing statement that doesn't change anything. A lot of people are taking your advice already. But it, right now, is the best play for to play with your friends because its free and it automated.

Power creep is a big problem when it comes to some card games but not all. Also pretending like the only reason the game is still relevant is because they are coming out with more op game breaking cards is ridiculous. Yu-gi-oh like pokemon is a nostalgia bait brand. People who even bother to play this game are either long term fans or people who need a game to play yu-gi-oh with their friends. There is a way to make the game better without over bloated power escalation.

And i sometimes do play the old games. I have a small collection and they are great games.

TLDR; Power escalation isn't unfixable problem. And the player base doesn't need anymore losses in player base by having people play another simulator.

Also idk why you are gate keeping the way master duel should be enjoyed? I love yu-gi-oh new and old. Yes i have issues with mechanics that make the game less fun but that doesnt mean i hate yu-gi-oh. But why are you pretending like the old version of yu-gi-oh is inferior? Are you just trolling or do you genuinely not like the original style system? Do you have fun only using meta deck that have consistent or semi-consistent FTK's? you can have successs with no meta decks pretty easily in MD, you don't need meta to get to top rank and to a lesser extent win tournaments

I am willing to bet majority of people who play yu-gi-oh master duel are long time fans. Especially if they still stuck around to play after that huge bot problem that had that FTK deck. But even if what your saying is true that people only familiar with modern meta deck are the only ones playing. That's still not good. Because konami is lossing out on a huge part of their fan base. I don't think the only option to balance the game is to go nuclear. They're vamped the game several times already so I'm sure they could re-vamp it again. Or change some card effect rulings or the way they are written. I mean anime effects got retconned when introduced to the tcg, so i dont think thats impossible. But we are both just randos on the internet not business men or professional card crafters so it's just hearsay.

Finally I think a lot of people care about the current state of the game. And how unfair it feels. I mean seriously look at the reviews. Both the positive and negative reveiws all mention the same things.

Do you really think that the game is in a better state now than it was before with reviews like that? If you dont believe me go look threw them yourself but i think you know im right. Otherwise, you wouldn't be so salty about "yugiboomers not understanding modern play" I don't even know anyone who plays this game as much as i do in my friend group. And i wouldn't be able to confidently recommend it to new players either. because even with my love of yugioh it still gets me so frustrated sometimes i have to step away from the game.

TLDR;
The new meta/playstyle in Master Duel is bad for both new players and old.
