They need that new boss monster Icejade Aegirine Gymir.
Boss Monster https://www.masterduelmeta.com/cards/Icejade%20Aegirine%20Gymir [Your Icejade cannot be Destroyed or Banished by effects]
Monster for easier Synchro https://www.masterduelmeta.com/cards/Icejade%20Creation%20Aegirocassis
Spell for easier Field presence https://www.masterduelmeta.com/cards/Great%20Icejade%20Manifestation
Aegirine will make a comeback for the Icejades and give them an era of the best support an archetype could get.
at best its a skill drain tied to a monster, field, and continuous spell, all 3 of which need to be up at the same time to get any mileage. like woah, move over deus-x krawler.
the boss is worse than just making a baronne because it offers no protection to the field spell, it's more likely to be shat out in a sword soul deck if anything.
their tuner is level 7 so unless you have the one level 3, you can only make psychic end punisher which is nothing turn 1
their newer searcher is dead turn 1 unless your opponent handtraps you. the only other searchers are
1. the important level 3 monster you'd probably need to summon off the spell
2. a spell that usually searches that monster
meaning that the deck dies to a well placed ash on the incredibly important level 3 searcher or alternatively, deep sea diva depending on the build.
nearly every card has some terrible restriction for lore purposes.
it needs specific card combos to do anything.
its playstyle is schizophrenic
even in a bo1, if your opponent knows how it plays, its over.
One-Sided Skill Drain please. (especially with it having perma barrier statue thanks to links like Marincess 2-Link)
But yes its most likely brick prone, especially against Tearlaments and Splight which just shut down nearly all decks by the time their support arrives.
