whats a strong beginner friendly meta deck?

Sword Soul, versions of Eldlich. Well, you're talking about "friendly" and the meta isn't, SS's main mechanic is quite easy to understand and will teach you quite a bit how decks can be played. Eldlich is also relatively easy but there really isn't an easy way to push yourself in to current meta without trial and error.

But yeah I agree with you, kinda weird to recommend a rogue deck to someone looking for meta.

Well, it does happen to be one of my favorite decks, long before master duel existed. I was playing them before Sheou came out. They were... playable with just house dragonmaid but sheou definitely gave them the extra push to Rogue tier.

It's just kinda weird how crazy people get for them you know? Sure they are cute drawings but... its still just drawings

It also plays nice. I only got into the maids because Levianeer is in the same pack as them but after trying them out i decided i really liked how they played. Enough to even spend 500 gems on the structure to finish my Maid Deck off.

Point is how a deck plays matters. Some people playing Eldlich are literally doing it because they don't want to pop off with combo's. Its not always about being the best deck but rather the best deck of its type. Dragonmaids are the best deck i know of that play the way they do.

Dream Mirror has a similar playstyle but... yeah its nowhere near as good heh.

Soulsword essentially plays itself or Eldlich which is like Old School Yugioh, essentially you can summon Summoned Skull with Axe of Despair and a bunch of floodgates like skill drain which is still very strong.

I would lean towards Eldlich because it is a very strong deck, easy to pilot and requires less UR material.
