Maybe because MST is a QuickPay?
If you activate Summon Limit on me, chaining it to a summon, it will stop me, and HFD won't give me back my summon, however, I could chain MST and blow the Summon Limit before it resolves, getting my summon.

If a card serves you better then the card it replaces you
swap it out & see if it counters what you needed it to or
helped your win rate for whatever reason as long as the
core deck theme remains intact, otherwise just build a
new type of deck once you exhausted all other options.
