Serious Question: Does your hand always brick against players from certain countries?
I mean, I've seen this with a lot of my friends, they do fine against western players but as soon as they get against somebody with Japanese or Chinese characters, they immediately brick...

I've seen this happen on the watch duels too, with people playing meta decks. I am just asking the game, does this game have a coin-flip and draw bias built into it?

Honestly, go back to your games against players from that region and look at your starting hands. I bet you get seriously problems in drawing in those games. It would make sense, I mean current era YGO is more popular in Japan then the western world so Konami would be economically incentivised to give an advantage to their home region.

It's not that asian players get better hands it's that the shuffle algorithm is garbage. Cards in the same place all the time in the opening hands as well as drawing the same opening hands (or nearly the same) constantly.

An example of the first (and the second as well) I encountered is how even though I used a 1 of (buster dragon that extra deck locks) It would be in my opening hand constantly as well as ALWAYS being in the left most part of my opening hand. Stuff like that should never happen. As it makes being able to predict where certain cards are in the hand. It's just bad game design at the end of the day.

Confirmation bias, come back when you have 10's of thousands of games saying the same thing

Typically when i do brick i do look to see my opponents name and it is symbols i cant read. thats not to say its always that its just when i do draw my 5 lv 8 monsters i have in my 50 card deck turn 1 i tend to look at my opponent. They are overseas because i play this japanese game at night and thats when Japanese and Chinese people are typically awake.

Why am I not surprised that criticizing konami's bad coding and game design results in someone running in to shill for them say "cONfIrMaTIoN bIAs". Smh people really can't face the facts there are tons of errors and problems in this game even on the basic level. Some even negatively effect the gameplay and balance of the game like this as well as for example the fateful adventure stuff that had a drama about it. Free sims don't even have these problems for the most part, yet this million dollar backed company does.

if you'd learn to read you'd realise that i hate this ♥♥♥♥ game lmao, people are just stupid and fail to realise they're cherry picking their statistics, and even then you'd need tens of thousands of games that you tracked to even prove that game rigs hands, until then its all worthless crap with no backing lmao

Today in all my games I paid close attention to the opponents I played against. I went 2nd as much as possible and I can by now after about 25 games clearly say: each and every japanese/chinese players starts with called by the grave. 25 is a little sample size, true, but it is a 100%. It is the strongest card in the current meta as handtraps negate most plays while itself can't be countered going first. The card is semi limited so drawing it should be fairly inconsistent, yet all ♥♥♥♥ have it in their first 5 cards? not fishy at all.......

while i doubt they konami implemented a way to make starting hands brick or be insanly good, i wouldn't be surprised if they could deturmin if certan cards in the hand on average either shorten or extended the time the games took and who won. and they would probably want to use that to see whitch cards are overpowered just by recording the cards in the deck, the cards drawn, who won and the leinth of the dule
FlintX Sep 9, 2022 @ 9:21am
People still doubt cheating in this game exists when the shuffling and card drawing algorithm is confirmed to be straight up rigged, lmao.
Poor naive kids.
Enablix Jun 8, 2024 @ 11:21pm
It's no bias. My hand almost always bricked when dueling japanese/chinese, and for several times when I could go first and have a decent hand against a chinese, I got disconnected. Coincidence ? I think not. And it's getting worse in every update.
holy necro batman

but also why am I not surprised at who OP of this thread is? hilarious

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
