Draw up to 5 cards per turn?
Wasn't this a common thing back then, why can we only draw 1 card now or is it not in this game?

This was never a Yugioh rule. It only existed in some minor Yugioh games like Duelist of the Roses. Maybe you are thinking of something else or such a game but no rule ever said anything about drawing cards.
Also Rush Duels, as part of their "literally playground Yugioh" gimmick.
Yeah. Point is its never been a main game thing. Maybe OP was a rush player and didn't realize it.

We draw 1 card because since the creation of the game 1 card has been drawn.

When i was a kid we did draw 7 if you ran out of cards in your hand. Don't remember where that rule came from, lol.

I remember even having one of those ♥♥♥♥♥♥ dvd's of the rules of Yugioh.

Seems to be an universal "rule" as here we did something similar with draw multiple per turn.

Simple, Yugioh did not add enough rules in rulebook now people of out of control were counter cant be countered
Just wait for Rush Duel then (someday)

Kid, do you just go around and whine? If you hate the game this much, quit. Go back to Pokemon.
Aware these issues triggered people who uses "those decks" long combo decks dont want changes happens to the rules even oppose about time limit changes that master duel did to combat long combo stalling and cheating

I never knew that, this is what I get for not watching enough anime or I just forgot the rules as my group took the rules then remade them for fun. Thanks!

Anime isn't a good way to learn the game, anyway. Even though they've been getting better over the years, they were never 100% accurate to IRL rules. And, often, cards do something different in the anime than they do IRL, even if the series follows most of the rules.

Rush Duels actually looks quite fun and they make an actual effort to keep the game somewhat balanced (hard once per turn is in the master rule for example, and monsters won't have quick effects), a Master Duel style game would do really well but I guess Konami don't like money. Oh well.
