it's extremely healthy for the game to exist as it's one more tool to remove overpowered boss monsters.
It's no more unfair than forbidden droplet, dark ruler no more, kaijus/lava golems/ra sphere mode/underworld goddess.
Unless using fusion monsters with rather generic type/attribute fusion material requirements (Draconecro and Starving Venom come to mind) and cards that can force monsters on the field to qualify. (Zombie World and Lair of Darkness respectively, for these 2 instances)
To be fair, I have a biased perspective, because I abuse Super Poly liberally. I play Zombie World from time to time and Super Poly is one of their best outs to a board full of negates, just plink a few of them away and make yourself a Draconecro for some hard slaps of realiation.
However, I can sympathize with the frustration of having your monsters be used to make a monster on the opponent's side, like salt on an open wound. I've fought Albaz and I still don't know exactly how to feel about him. A searchable, recoverable Super Poly on legs is a little wacky, even with the restrictions it has. And before anyone states it, yeah, you can also use Super Poly from deck with Verte, but you don't need to tell me that Verte Anaconda was a mistake, I've been on that card's ass since the first time I laid eyes on that affront to god.
Or Mad Eldlich if you have Eldlich out and they have a mid-high level zombie (be it converted to a zombie or originally a zombie, doesn't matter) and/or they take control of one of your Eldlich's. (or if you have Eldlich and a qualifying zombie on YOUR field; attack with as many of them as possible then Super Poly during the battle phase and get yet another attack, sometimes for game) And should the card you discard to activate it be Glow-Up Bloom... (thank god that has a "If... you can" effect, as opposed to a "When... you can" effect; can't miss the timing then)
