Sworsoul isnt even the best deck right now, and it will stay not being the best deck after the next set of cards come. Be ready for splight and tears to take swordsouls off the map soon.
I would argue the negate itself isn't the issue it's WHEN the negate shows up. Late game is one thing but if you're literally taking your first turn and staring down a Baronne/Swordsoul combo that's pretty gross. Basically anything your opponent doesn't like (IE everything) is going to get slapped, which generally means you don't even get to play your deck. The opposite can occur if you go first. Any little thing you play is going to get negated to limit what you can do and you can't even attack yet.
I'm sorry but a fist full of hand traps is not going to stop a empty/incomplete board from getting savagely torn apart the following turn by an established board running reusable negates/banishes/floodgates or what have you.
Tl:Dr - it's not always a failing of the deck it can also be RNG or a failing of balance.
But that's partially because of how easy she is to get out and the cards that enable her to be summoned with one card.
Hopefully they fix the negate and flooding meta one day.
