Fix the chain effects.
Im getting really tired of chains negating card effects when they etb or etg. This game has so many issues that no one is addressing, the Forbidden list, card effects not working when they are suppose to and the problem listed above... geez... also can we get a casual format? i want to enjoy this game not people one turn winning all the time...

Now hear me out...I know this is crazy...but what if...WHAT IF....I'm just saying, hypothetically...the cards ARE working like they are supposed to and YOU didn't understand how they worked this whole time?
So, casual mode is playing without knowing how to play?

A casual mode doesn't change the game itself. It's just a mode for players, who think, that their rank is tied to their social status, thus they fear loosing in ranked modes (which is quite pathetic in a game, which has a ladder instead of a skill based ranking system).

If you want something more casual then play Legacy of the Duelist. It's better than this game by a mile. 80 card decks, story mode, better gameplay all around. Or you could download an emulator and play some of the older yu-gi-oh games.

Very confused that someone actually makes 80 card decks...

Putting that aside, play anything BUT Legacy of the Duelist, my god AI and their decks are so bad that it's a rarity if they manage to last more than 2 turns.

They should go play Duelist of the Roses! It has a mod that makes it more fun than ever!

Still my fave Yugioh game.
Whether or not this is a bait post (I can't usually tell), why is there so much toxicity in the comments? I mean, it isn't extreme but still it does feel unwarranted. Not everyone wants to play competitive stuff, some people really are "playground yugioh" kinds of people and that should be fine - this game doesn't exactly make it as easy to jump into casual duels as it is to go to ranked.

Maybe then and hear me out, Don't play a game that literally only has a ranked mode.

Because the idea is silly and has been debunked to death, and presumably people are tired of seeing the exact same senseless whining for 3 months. People are playing a competitive game but are not playing it competitively and ask for a casual mode. They think this is their solution to the problem of constantly losing to well-built decks and staples. But there is absolutely nothing stopping those same decks from showing up in that casual mode.

There's no way konami can implement some kind of limit check of "hey, is your deck bad enough to warrant playing in the playground mode?" We just had a second event showing that even when people are restricted to N/R cards, they will find what is most efficient and a disproportionate amount of people will be using that over anything else. Casual mode will look identical to current silver-gold ladder. If you want to guarantee playing against another playground deck, your only way of doing that is finding people outside the game and arranging a duel - something that is already possible with duel rooms. They don't need to waste resources working on something that won't change anything in the game

They could do a mode where the time the game gives to you is very limited, something like 1 minute and 30 seconds, or a mode where the number of moves you can do in a single turn is limited... or actually balancing the archetypes in order to make any deck able to be played and expecially able to prevent people from taking 5 minutes to end their turn

What should change is the targeting rule, which is the no1 stupid rule in all of Yugioh and many problems and confusion would disappear. Cards that obviously choose, aka "target", 1 card on the field , shouldn't get away with the it has no target written on it's text.Chosing randomly or as a triggered effect, i get it, but the i choose this card particularly but i don't target it, is just retarded.

Nothing to do with reading. It just doesn't make sense. And especially in ccg's when you can see the actual gameplay.
