Solid game idea but waaayyyy too slow
This game is boring, I could literally watch an episode of yugioh in the time it takes for these losers to take 2 turns. Can we please get shorter turn time limits, a no extra deck mode, a one special summon per turn. SOMETHING TO SPEED UP THE RATE OF PLAY. For a successful gotcha game you have to make the player think they have a chance or give them eye candy or some kind of substantial feeling reward. We have none of that in this game. If you're thinking its a card game and not a gacha game really think about how many decks you can play right now and be top ranked?

what does the meta have to do with gacha? the game gives so many gems and crafting materials that it seems like paying for card packs is solely intended for whales and youtubers.

I remember I once had to wait like 2 or 3 minutes for someone to fusion summon a Blue Eyes Twin Dragon when they already had 2 Blue Eyes White Dragons on the field. I think the problem may be a connection/region issue. Or perhaps our opponents just want to make us suffer by taking 2 or 3 minutes for an extremely simple move.

Dude that could be actually! I had one guy that it seemed like sometimes he moved normal speed and other times it would be 30+seconds between stuff and I thought he was just being a jerk but it could have been a network thing. He ended up surrendering or DCing a turn or 2 later

One issue though is that the game gives lots of gems at the start, look at the missions once you complete the starter ones it goes from 500 gems to 5 real fast

So you want a game that isn't yugioh? Uh...Play something else then?

Agree with OP, its ridiculous at how long it takes. they either need to create a mode without modern cards of limit turn time. its a waste of time at this point trying to play a game

They have that already, it's called Duel Links.

a no extra deck mode,
Lol, no. I am all for stricter turn limits. But no Extra deck mode is going to far. The very first booster released worldwide (Legend of Blue Eyes in 2002 or 03) already contained fusion.

And one thing I can guarantee. There will never be an "only first generation" mode. Such a thing never existed in ANY Yugioh game.

Nawh dude it's not unreasonable to have game modes instead of separate games. MTG digital games usually have lots of options like that why wouldn't yugioh want to appeal to all of its audience and not just a small slice?

Waiting 15 minutes for nothing to happen isnt good game design, there is a reason YuGiOh died off 10 years ago

Too slow huh.... Go back to DuelLinks then XD

because its konami, they don't even bother to add tag duels in there games so the odds of you getting another mode entirely with a new ban list and rule format is slim to none so the best thing you can do if you want a slower game is to play duel links OR just try and organise a room with people on steam forums/reddit in which you all agree to a certain rule set and a certain "era" of cards. There's nothing wrong with missing the old yugioh but the reality is most people complaining about it just want to hop on for a week or two to feed that "nostalgia" and then they'll never touch the game again, it seems like a lot of effort for konami to do that with no guarantee that people will stick around. I also stopped playing yugioh after GX era along with many then came back to the game about 3 years ago. There are times when i miss the old yugioh but when that happens you just play a custom rule set with friends that you all agree to and voila you get the best of both worlds.

Yes too slow, I'm literally "playing" a game right now and in my opponents first turn I've unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher, emptied the bathroom trash and started wiping off the counters. For a card game to be fun the turns should be fast enough to hold your attention and a game should be a combination of both players moves back and forth not one person doing a 5 minute solo performance then the other doing their 5 minute solo thing. Or if either player is going to win on turn 1 or 2 everygame in silver rank your're not playing cards your playing who can go first

I'm fine with the new yugioh but there should be reasonable limits for it to be a fun multiplayer card game

I do agree with the points that a lot of returning players make and i do think that other modes are incredibly fun (single copies of cards in decks, only 1 special summon per turn), I'm not too sure why so many people are being hostile towards opinions either adding multiple game modes is a reasonable enough request its just everyone here whos been with yugioh for the past 10 years knows Konami and so they know its incredibly unlikely that they will add multiple formats, its sad but its just the way it is.
