Invincible monsters in defense position?
I was running an Ojama deck recently, and I went up against a Blue eyes deck, and towards the end of the game, I was nearly about to win, then they used Monster Reborn to pull out a blue eyes and set in DEF position. No biggie there were already 2 ojama emperors on the field, and they each had enough ATK to kill the blue eyes. This is where things get weird, I made a first attack, and the opponents blue eyes was still standing, havig recieved a shield, as if it were invincible "No big deal" I thought "I'll just wait until next turn" I did. And swung with 2 ojama emps, each AGAIN with enough ATK to kill his monster in DEF position. It was still alive, same little shield effect. So I waited another 12 or 13 turns and after it never died for some reason, despite me having plenty of ATK to kill it each turn, I checked the card history and it ONLY showed him using monster reborn to summon BEWD in DEf position. He didn't target the monster with anything after that, no extra steps, it just became invincible. I'm new to Yu-Gi-Oh so I could be missing something, and I just recently started playing. Do any more experienced players know what might have happened? Or does this seem like foul play? Please help.

To the OP. Are u sure he wasn't running the Equip Spell, Dragon Shield? U can only equip it to Dragon type monsters while they r in defense mode and they can be destroyed by battle or card effects while face-up in defense position; which to me sounds like what u r describing.
there's any number of reasons why a monster can't be destroyed by battle, could be anything from a field spell to a lingering effect from another card/etc.

If you have ojama country field spell out and an ojama monster on the board it switches the attack and defense of all monsters on the field.
Which would make a normal blue eyes have 3000 def. Which means ojama emperor can't kill it since it only has 3000 atk.

Yes, in that situation (for anyone reading that isn't aware, just saying this incase) when a monster has the same ATK as another monsters DEF and they battle, no monsters get destroyed and there is no damage.
