Cannot derank from Plat V
What do you guys think about this?
This means if I get to Plat I'm stuck playing against meta decks and getting less rewards

Pretty much, yeah...
I guess once you get to Gold 1, surrender or suicide deck down to Gold 3 or such.

The strat i'm going to use this season is get to gold one and then disconnect. Surrendering is too slow and the counterplay to it it's that the opponent surrenders first. If you get really unlucky you could get three people insta surrendering and shooting you to plat.
I wonder what Konami's response will be to people losing on purpose to stay in Gold.

Frankly I wouldn't be surprised if that was their "solution":sans:
Gold 5 is the minimum rank, you cant derank after that

This season you can't get demoted from Platinum V to Gold I, check the notifications about the new season.

inb4 who dies first in the XYZ event and now this

imagine a game design where such ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is expected
oh wait we don't have to imagine it
Now everyone (including some meta players) will move to Gold avoiding Platinum, next season everyone will move to Silver and so

if you lose too many times in gold 1 they charge your credit card.
Ummm... as someone who doesn't run a meta deck, I thought this was nice. The amount of times a platinum level player in gold kicked my ass back to gold 5 was frustrating. Honestly if you wanna play meta/broken decks that fine but there should be a way to avoid letting that type of guys completely kick our not-competitive asses.

There WAS a way lol, the way was surrendering yourself back to gold everytime you accidentally got plat.

Now you can't.
