But what bothers me the most is that nowadays there is way too much text on the cards. e.g. pendulum. first comes the stupid mile long card text, and then the effect text.
Konami could at least color the effect text differently so you don't have to read all the text x.x
i read it. i have to. but reading the card text is totally pointless because it is not related to the effect of what the card does.
Believe it or not, I hated Sky Strikers at first. I felt like there were too many hoops to jump through for only having a single monster on the field that hits like a wet noodle, when I could be summoning 3000+ Attack monsters with immunities, omni-negates, field wipes, etc.
Yet for some reason, when I looked for a non-tier 1/2 deck that could still put up a good fight against such decks, I ended up with Sky Strikers. Have not swapped (ranked deck choice) since, and as of today, I have climbed to Plat I with Sky Strikers.
Every so often I play Dragonmaids, Phantom Knights, or my crappy Skull Servant deck. But I always come back to my bae Raye. Waifu for laifu.
If you resolve the effect of Ultramaufs then get a Ghostrick face up on the board with Ghostrick Night, you lock the opponent out of those zones. You can do damage with Ghostrick Mansion.
Still waiting Battle of Chaos for Ghostrick Festival.
Plunder Patroll - Cool kappa fish troll people.
Dream Mirrors - give us neiroy the traitor so we can get a busted control engine.
Abyss Actors - someones gotta rep pends at some point.
It is LITERALLY what the effect is. Your inability to comprehend the things you read isn't Konami's fault either.
The mix of there nigh invincibility, weird board altering effects, on top of being able to whip them out whenever I need them is the kind of BS that makes me feel like a villain from the anime! Although I guess that makes sense given who actually used them in the anime.
But I do also like that they aren’t just mindlessly broken. They have very clear flaws, and most of the fun I’ve had with them was trying to work around those flaws.
Burning Abyss - at first the xenophobic nature of the deck disinterested me, then I saw Tour Guide
PSY-Frame - the nature of the deck kinda repulsed me at first, then I tried it for fun and fell in love with it
Yang Zing - I got better at not missing the timing
Cyber Dragons
Predaplants, sadly they suck at the moment since the support cards are not out and scorpio is limited to 1, yikes.
I was uninterested at first, then the Structure Deck got revealed, and I still didn't care, but it started to get very interesting cards, like Gazelle, Stallio, and Roar, and Ash was getting a reprint in there, so, not much before the Structure Deck came out I gave it a try on a simulator.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, it was instant love! The deck checked everyone of my boxes: it's a midrange deck that can OTK on command, that can play basically just from the grave, has an interesting gimmick, and was cheap to build.
Moral of the story, it's 3 years that I pretty much only play Salad.
Cyber Darks, didn't like them from Cyber Dark Impact, didn't like them when they got new support.
Then they got the Structure Deck, bought 3, cause why not, been years since I bought any sealed products. Fell in love with the deck, even though it's just 3 structure decks put together + Monster Reborn
