Do people play only meta decks?

Just like previous titles and other similiar games? I want to have fun but i don't want to invest time if i am going to see same decks in following levels.

I still think it's stupid a digital format of a game is missing cards that came out over a year ago in OCG. Why does YuGiOh have different cards for each region? Why is there 2 formats to begin with? Why didn't Konami condense them both into 1 after doing a reboot of some kind? I've never experienced a card game with different cards exist according to where someone lives.

Btw your favorite card, Laundry is getting a new trap card in Burst of Destiny.

Dragon Links is considered top tier meta in master duel format. You can't go off TCG meta or OCG meta or World's, you have to go off MD banlist, and Dragon Link is near the top alongside drytons/lyrilusc tri-brig/adamancipator/dinos right now.

Here I am messing around with Marincess and other decks *MISSING THEIR GOOD NEW OCG SUPPORT CARDS* and we have thousands of copy, pasted, Eldlich and Virtual World decks all over platinum.

Where do y'all find VW?

I'd love to play against that deck, but I only played against it in season 1 twice and neither guy knew how to play it.

Season 2 I faced not even 1 VW all the way from g5 to p1, and I played the most in p2 as each time I got to 1 win away, I faced the most attrocious bad luck possible and dropped to 4 wins like 3 times, no VW players.

Yeah, sorry but that's not at all what meta is. Meta is the top tier of decks. The best of the best. Winning within 5 turns is something even 2004 decks could do. If it CAN'T win in 5 turns with a decent starting hand, the deck is just incompetent.

Because they need to make boobs smaller, lengthen dresses, recolor firearms into nerf guns, and remove anything resembling religious material for us innocent little westerners

I use meta decks over the idea that I need the wins for the daily missions but with friends or when I feel like it I use my rouge decks

I mainly play rogue.
But i do play meta, like lyrilusc, dryton, endymion, pretty much the whole shabang.
I prefer variety over meta tbh, like @ignister or lunalight.

Ok yup gold have more meta, but not me, I use a traptrix deck,, not meme a good one got me to plat 1before go back to gold, really plat not worth.
Now the number of games in gold is well you can see 1 non meta deck in 10 games approx, but gold already punish you for no play meta yesterday tried a new deck I was making and go too bad.. yup expected lose a lot but the meta decks not even let me see what I can do for get it better.. and solo well that deck solo is just too good for see the problems.

I'm constantly losing when I switched to my meme deck. The punishment is so harsh for non-meta decks. lol

But most people do play meta decks, sadly. And not just in ranked, every time I go into public rooms I'm gonna run into the same stuff there as I did on ranked. This is par for the course in CCGs though, the fun experimental phase burns out and then it's just down to the "I need to win" deck lists. Mostly.

You'll see Meta for days but Rogues do exist but the other player is the "Oh I just got into the game for the first time/again" people. The ones that use the given decks or upgraded versions from the single player mode.

I mostly play decks I like and know how to use and that I'm comfortable with. The meta decks never look all that fun to me. I tend to run Cyber dragons, Cyber dark dragons, six samurai (love my dumb sword boys) and used to run zombie decks, but haven't got those cards yet. I'm always down for a chill duel trying out decks or jsut having a lark though if you fancy it. :D

I'm climbing gold with Chain Burn. 3x chain strike is kinda broken even vs meta decks. they don't have enough negates to deal with 6 cards, and if they try to negate too much of the chain, that chain burn is going to slap them for over 4000. Not even Ultimaous has enough negates to stop chain burn sometimes.

Who considers Dragon Link meta? It's not even on the tier list. And neither are Tribrigade Lyrilusc or dinosaurs.
