The REAL problem with XYZ event

In my point of view, there is a reason why the event either flops or is populated witl self-OTK players: BAD LOANER DECKS.

This is what I mean: many players do not play a full XYZ deck. And many other players, specially in countries with poor economy (very painful to pay in a dollar-based game), cannot afford to craft a deck designed only for the event.

How can we possibly play the event properly? Either we just pass and farm on loosing, or we try to win with a garbage deck. How can a bad Cypher or Raidraptor deck, with no useful handtraps at all, could possibly beat a meta Zeus deck, dino, numeron, or any deck kinda well crafted.

How to solve this?

1. All-cards gamemode: players can craft their decks with any card they want, but only for the event
2. Free stuff for event: players recieve like 2k gems or free packs designed exclusively to help building a XYZ deck
3. Acutally competitive loaner: give us a deck that can actually beat something.
4. Balanced matchmaking: people playing loaner will only fight a loaner player too

Equal not double. The idea isn't to make everyone use Loaner decks.

The loaner decks work fine imo. I am able to win with them reliably enough.

Speaking of which, the play level and average deck quality between gold games and plat games in ranked is like huuuuge difference. They need to add more tiers after plat.

I tested all the loaner decks today. How do they intend you to win anything with the Raidraptor deck? That deck basically only has 2 beaters, where one requires your opponent to have a full board and the other one requires you to draw at least 2 Rank-Up-Magics to summon it.

winning with a loaner deck is hard and also they punish you with less rewards, they should give you double rewards or at least make people with loaner decks compete ONLY with players that also have loaner decks

Unfortunately, that's the idea. Spent money on gems to build your own deck for the event? Here, we reward you! Did not spend money on gems for event? We don't care about you!

It's about the money income and ways to entice players to spend more.

on the bright side this event showed us wich xyz break the game ( we already knew about zeus but some were not obvious to everyone)

I spent 0,00€ for crafting my deck. And I only played story mode until a few days before the event. The gems from the start and story rewards are literally all you need for crafting pretty much anything.

The better solution would be to either allow all cards to be used for events ONLY, regardless if you purchased them or not.

OR

Make better event loaner decks. That rapidraptor one was especially bad...like, that was right up there with some of the solo loaner decks with how non-functional it is.

I liked the Galaxy eyes one. I think it was at a perfectly fine level. Didn't play enough with rapid to tell if it was bad but it did feel less fun and worse than the others.
