Curious of peoples thoughts on the loaner deck in solo
Personally I hate them, they are super bricky and just a nuisance to use.

There have been multiple threads hating on them, one or two of them by me even.

If I remember correctly, the most hated are Laval Gemknight, Dinomist Zefra, and most of the World Chalice in general.

The loaner deck I have in mind is the last loaner deck of the Ruin and Demise line. Bricks so hard and cpu has easy cheap board wipe everytime i try to get going lol

world chalice was the most difficult to complete it all, but i started with world chalice stuff first with the loaner decks and everything else was easy.
they try and introduce the new mechanics for people returning or people who dont know (Xyz, synchro, links). they mix the decks up enough so you cant just always do what you did in the previous duel. i find it makes you have to think a bit and helps you understand not just the archtypes but the different play styles of decks(Aggro, Control (Stun/Anti-Meta), Combo, Ramp, Midrange, Hybrid)

The issue is "different styles of play" include archetypes that either:
A. Have nothing to do with each other
B. Directly counter each other
C. Are missing extremely critical pieces that basically make or break the archetype, thus it is now unplayable

Seriously, I still have trauma over the CPU stalling with World Legacy Shield because all I had were vanilla monsters and I was praying to the RNG gods for a equip spell.

I just finished completing all of the available solo stuff today. Some of the loaner decks are painful.

I think they are all neat, the difficulty of the chalice duels was a bit much, but I liked playing with different archetypes I normally wouldn't try.

Currently working my way through now. My decks? ez pz. Loaner decks? Scoop, scoop, scoop, misplay, scoop again, finally win :fightmeox:

Whoever designed the Dinomist and Gem-Knight loaners needs to NEVER be allowed to build a deck for another human being ever again.

Oh sure, let's mix Gem-knights and Consteller into a crappy vomit pile and give the opposing deck THREE EFFECT VEILERS WHICH HARD COUNTER CONSTELLERS.

I didn't care for the gladiator beast one. That one took me forever to get through

Thats a shame, Glad Beasts were the last paper deck I played years back. They are one of my main decks

Lol nvm, ive seen children make better decks than the gem knight ones

Look at the opponent's decks they're supposed to be fighting for a REAL laugh.

My dumbass highlander decks are better built than those decks.

You know the funny thing: we're getting Weather, Mecha Phantom Beast, and Heralds next.

I can't wait to see how they fk those up lmao (and maybe give the opponent a Herald Drytron deck for the lulz)

Opponent: Drytron Heralds with 3 Ash Blossoms and 3 Maxx C.

Player: Herald/The Agent of X hybrid deck which suggests you use Venus to pull Mystical Shine Balls to summon out Herald of Perfection (your opponent has Ultimateness).

The funny part is that this will very likely happen.

Or even worse, they could do something worse than Ruin/Demise x Heralds stating something about using Demise to clear the field for Ultimateness (and me going to be like HOW)
