But the mechanic it's self I'm fine with, and loving Abyss King Gilgamesh in some of my D/D/D variant decks.
this
You should probably.. think of the bigger picture instead of looking at things so narrowly? Evil Twin/Live twin by itself isn't close to even being on the same tier as Dragonmaids and their mechanics.
Konami.. when do you plan on releasing our actual boss, Trouble Sunny? Any day now............. I sleep. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
A lot of anime links are mega strong for no reason, like accesscode talker. Others have neat interactions, restrictions, or are combo extenders that help a decks main purpose.
Link monsters are themselves rarely boss monsters... but decks that can vomit them out are few and far between, mostly being or have been meta decks.
Sunavalon is a great example of a link archetype whose links are centered around the decks main strategy rather than just being a single extremely difficult to get over boss monster.
Pot of Extravagance is already underpowered, it should let you bann your entire extra deck and let you draw 2 cards in this and next turn.
pendulums too they are worse
Long story short, thinking that a summoning mechanic ruins the game is either foolish or naive, the problem is what the cards that use that mechanic do: if all you could Link Summon was Decide Talker and the Charmer links nobody would Link Summon, except to remove the occasional Mind Control target, the problem is a shift in design philosophy of Extra Deck monsters that just so happened to happen in the VRAINS era.
