Are Shiranui decks viable in this game?
In Duel links i was getting like 70-80% win ratio with a Shiranui-based deck. Now since i didnt play any kind of yugi games for a long time, i feel like its only effective in this game when the opponent has a bad deck as well, or is at least inexperienced. I do realise the major impact is the fact that in duel links i was running the deck with 20 cards in main deck, while now i've had to spread it to 40, so im wondering if i just set it up wrong or should i just aim for some meta Virtual world deck?

Nope, the deck has always been really bad because of how slow it is and a lot of people who liked the deck anyways were glad they ended up getting a spotlight in Duel Links iirc.
yeah... no...

duel links has pretty different rules, and is pretty much a different game, no? itd surprise me if you could actually compare deck quality between the two games TBH

gotta wait for the ghost meets girl trap, but even then they will be rogue at best.

It worked in Duel Links cause it was a deck that heavily relied on skills to function(as did most decks in that game).
You ultimately just played a stall deck with a Shira engine.

its still just fine for master duel, zombie synchro is always pretty good.
I would not try it but I am curious on a mill deck with the samurai zombies and necroface.

And because it wasn't easy to out a Sunsaga, which is a trivial thing to do in the TCG.

Shiranui Duel Links style doesnt work. Zombie Necrovalley swarm works as a Rogue deck with balderoch. It's not great but since the matchmaking is rigged so you get to see all kinds of weird decks so you want to buy more packs it really doesnt matter what you play. Heck, I've been beaten by the most obscure decks cuz they had "the hearth of the cards" style ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ draw luck for 3 turns straight while I bricked with decks that have so abysmal chances of bricking that its hard to belive that it happens so frequently. .

Or maybe their obscure deck had a lot of research and effort dumped into it so it could be a polished turd instead of just a turd.

I've seen a bunch of obscure (and run a bit myseld) decks and some of them were fairly solidly put together. Certainly no 80% WR in Plat decks, but definitely decks that could probably hold 20-40% WR in Plat.

what do you mean slow? compared to these linking or xyz decks i seem to be battling, i at least dont take 10 minutes per turn while im able to summon most extra deck cards pretty quickly, unless my starting hand bends me over

but if thats the case im really sad to hear that, and i feel dumb as hell that i invested so many gems and cp to get it
I think it's bad because a majority of meta stuff in this game is meant to end matches at or before turn 2, any deck that has a slow gameplan isn't considered "good".

Yesterday I encountered Darklord Nurse Reficule burn. It's about as reliable as Exodia turbo.....
