BUG: Season 3 not detecting Season 2 Save

This bug has been going on for years appearently according to reddit posts and discussions posted here, has there really never been a fix for this? I don't want to "recreate" my choice I want it to use every last little detail of my choices otherwise it just won't feel the same

Well, not only this. In my case I couldn't change any of decisions when replayed chapters, I couldn't transfer my save file from S2 to S3 too, then Final Season bugged on me and despite 'successful' transfer of save file from S3 it showed wrong choices which I never ever made. Plus to that the story rebuilding tool is pretty pathetic since omits many of choices from previous seasons despite their direct mentioning in a Final Season. My Clem got a forehead scar for example like a choice to stay in Wellington never existed, and so on. Original game is better, it's just all you need is too use a Reshade (free tool which works pretty much with any video game) to add the same comix effect if needed and make an image sharper and more vibrant.

Its so sad to see, making every single choice so specifically and then just for season 3 to never read the save and when I used the recreation tool since I gave up on transferring the other choices have strange connotations that don't help me understand just which choice i'm making exactly either, I don't want to play season 3 or later seasons and have Clementine mention something that never happened in my game, whats the point???

by chance did you skip the end credits of S2? I know that every time i skipped the credits and went to the menu, it seemingly doesn't save my choices in S3, but the S2 menu has a record of it

uh yeah I did, I never thought about that, i'll go back and try it, because I did skip the credits but it does say everything was saved

any luck? if that doesnt work than idk what else would
