I have original TWD Seasons 1 and 2, will this remember my progress?

Title says it all, but here we go:

I have the first two seasons as they came individually.
My kid and I are halfway into the Season 2 game.
If i buy this, can it import all our progress... or do we have to start over?

I'd really like to play this version, but we're already emotionally invested so I need to know if it can find and continue from the original titles' progress.

This seems important enough that they'd clearly let you know on the tin, but apparently I'm the anomaly... I searched forums but nothing came up except for potential spoilers in posts mentioning "saves" and "progress"

Nah, I don't think you can import. The remake is now 1 complete game that handles all save management internally. On top of that the games themselves are not one for one with the originals so even if you could paste the file in the right spot the game might not read it.

I don't know this for sure, you'd have to test it as I'm too lazy too.

No sadly you will have to beat the seasons again if you already hear the original ones.
