you guys: why would anyone use early access to make quick bucks it just doesnt make sense
mean while everyone who has a brain: theres about a thousand games like that what do you mean it doesnt make sense ..
and im saying that as of today my biggest issue with the game is the stupid camera angles
But here we are.
It actually has gotten a pretty good boost. The Discord server is still fairly active, and the regulars that frequent it adore the game. It's just that the haters are louder and more noticeable than the people who have actually helped the devs build the game further.
max player count on release day of 264. with a steeeeeeep dropoff. than for the year so far since jan an average player count of about 10
sounds like the game is really doing super good and us who have a problem with it are just a vocal minority... oh wait.. there's more people griping about it than who play daily... don't think we're the minority
We're all on Discord and we know what's going on.
Out of curiosity, what do you enjoy in playing ARo?
Fair point. Ya'll still pretty cringey though. "I want PVP back so I'll just diss their current project to make sure I never get PVP back." Instead of ya know...supporting it with your potentially wonderful ideas to make it better? They have implemented a crapload of our suggestions and it did make the game better. So there's that, if any of you guys really want Atlas Reactor back.
Yeah fair enough, functionality IS holding them back quite a lot. Along with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ AI. They dumbed it down to avoid a bug, but I remember its AI presenting a reasonable challenge upon launch.
I enjoy the bigger maps, the bigger focus on co-op with your friends in and out of combat. Like distributing Talent Points and Gear appropriately to the right lancers, and of course how Talents and Gear beef up your lancers. I mean don't get me wrong, Atlas Reactor mods were great, fair, and balanced for the most part.
But the ridiculously OP ways you can build your squad in Atlas Rogues is a lot of fun for PVE, but would not be possible, fair, or fun in Atlas Reactor and I kinda love that. Kaigin's Void Strike becoming a Free Action, along with Twisting Blades RESETTING his cool down on Void Strike upon killing an enemy--is just a whole lot of fun brokenness that I would HATE to do to an actual human lol. I enjoyed tearing people up in Atlas Reactor, but with a Kaigin that can attack three times in a turn? Nah I'd feel too douchey about that lol.
I also like how much the lore and characters are getting explored in a more streamlined kind of way through recon chains and special missions. The novellas you could access in the Atlas Reactor menu were nice for sure, I have read that stuff all in bulk recently. I'm surprised by how good it is. It's not phenomenal or anything, but it ain't no Saturday morning cartoon either.
So yeah TL;DR OP builds that wouldn't be fair PVP, but a whole lot of fun in co-op PVE, along with the lore and characters expanded on is what I really like about it. Along with how a lot of abilities have transferred over into PVE is a nice touch.
Thanks, pal!
Tbh, the guy talkin there is feels really disconnected from the base community.
For example: None of the older AR dudes want an apology, as he said. I beg you to reconsider when you say the old AR was slow paced. Imho, the more you understood the game the less time you had on your turn, the guys who played more understand I think.
I feel that the earlier AR community isnt attacking as much as giving their 50 cents, which are mostly taken as negative and hostile comments, but this is ofcourse however DEVs want to interpret things.
We miss AR. I miss AR. I truly hope you guys succeed with this, but high odds this will fail and the failure is because of not one thing, but many combined problems with the gameplay design. This is just a random guys statement with no offense intended. IMHO you guys are trying to enter the market already filled with games alike.
And the toxic rambling starts! AR was special in its field and I feel that it lacked marketing. Many of us from AR fondly believe AR had and has a spot on the market. It was one of a kind game which was cultivated with TLC to a near perfection. The fail wasnt fault of the game, imho thats how many of us feel.
Then again you devs can keep on blaming how "IGNORAANT!" we old AR players are. "Whai you noe lieks diz gaem, iz a must if u wantz moar! U No understand?!" If that makes devs feel better about the situation, be my guest. But I`d take another look in the mirror.
Devs, dont vent your frustration on the guys who come back every month or every two months for updates of your game only to see that their loved one is still a twisted being. We are the guys who actually want you to succeed beyond your wildest imaginations. But dont expect us to buy this game and tell you how it should work and to develop, because the old AR is how we would tell we want it to work. Why change perfection?
BTW. Playing AR 1v1 with 4 lancer vs 4 lancer was the best stuff also. Those games were super intense... I REMEMBAAHHH.
I`d still support the game with a subscription if it d come back. I have money, I just dont have the game to spend it on.
This text has hidden development ideas, if you are able to read it with open mind. Thank you for your time.
appearantly because since they didn't know how to properly advertise atlas reactor in the first place to draw us who became fans better it's not worth having the game in any form
I really loved this game, and I would pay to have it back, but it seems that the owner of the game have decided not to listen to the players.
I play PVE on the phone, but when I'm on the PC, I like to play against people.
Anyway, it seems the game has been abandoned, and it won't be released, so the early payers will play till it's shut down, as it is executed in a server.
Just check the players on steam: {HIVATKOZÁS TÖRÖLVE}https://steamcharts.com/app/1449540
Peak players in November 159, which is a disaster, but since then the next peak is 37, and in may 2021, 10 players.
Reactor had at least 300-600 players, and they decided to shut down the servers anyway: {HIVATKOZÁS TÖRÖLVE}https://steamcharts.com/app/402570
RIP Atlas. :'(
