Atlas Rogues

Atlas Rogues

Tebow Nov 20, 2020 @ 7:51pm
This game is dead on arrival with no PVP added like Atlas reactor had
The whole point of the game was pvp. PVE was was a side thing. Taunting the enemy, giving your teammates a hard time when they mess up. That is what made the community so good. You dont bring that atmosphere back then you dont have a game

ok here's the thing.. atlas reactor didn't function not because people didn't like it.. it didn't work because y'all wanted fortnite levels of instant engagement. but when you're running mostly from word of mouth advertising that won't happen.. i didn't see twitch streamers invited to talk about it.. i found out about it cause of an accedental email because i could get ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ for having owned specific computer accesories.. you know the ones if you know atlas reactor.. and i gave it a shot and it was awesome.

digital extremes went with word of mouth advertising and didn't get most of their player base till 2016. and it's steadily increased since.. i was a beta for warframe.. back in 2013. but it was 3 years before warframe became the huge hit it is now. and it was literally word of mouth for a very long time before they could afford to do large advertising.. and having one of your people going "oh well people say they want the thing and we don't want to give it if their begging"

i'm not asking for an apology. i know how things go. i've worked on projects that fell through so stuff happens. but how long do you all keep saying "oh the game you want is over there in that drive... but you don't get it cause we want you to play this broken one first" and it IS broken.. you arn't giving us anything that looks like a game yet.. just about an hour of progression. than face first into a forcefield of a bug. and than it's like "well i can't do anything now but start over..." but again... hour of playing missions headed to that final mission.. SLAM!!! wall

pvp existing would GIVE US SOMETHING TO DO!!!

Yep, reload the old altas reactor and advertise. Also, give me something worth buying in atlas reactor. I never bought anything in that game other than the character bundle because nothing was worth buying. They should have had "paid only" taunts

Atlas Reactor (PVP) was a very nice game. I loved it, and it was just underrated. It feels like
nobody knows the game, but it was awesome. Please give it a try and give us Atlas
Reactor PVP back.

just looked on steamdb. the player number graph looks like the flight path of a 737max jet

as in the game is already hemoraging players. and it only had 232 to start

perchance... pvp would draw people?

lol you people are so dense, low player count is the reason why Atlas Reactor shut down... they weren't making as much money that didn't cover development and server costs. Low player count in a game like this doesn't make a difference since it's PvE solely and server cost is non-existent for them. So steam stats make no difference.

"you just said they dont care if its a dead game"

I don't know any Atlas dev that would say that, and we've covered this PVP topic in greater detail over here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1449540/discussions/0/2974027084072207794/

Bringing Reactor back is still the dream right! We would love ultimately get Reactor back, but for now we are dealing with the cards we're dealt.

all they needed to do was advertise atlas reactor better back when it was around, no one i played it with disliked the game and by bolting this pve onto that you could have had both crowds happy. now youve just rained on both halves by dropping the pvp everyone loved and then gave them a buggy pve alpha that they had to pay for. that is why the community is a bit salty right now. you should still have the atlas reactor stuff unless you deleted your own game files etc in which case why the heck would you?... and why didnt you launch it as a bolted on thing? it was feature complete with taunts u could have sold for the premo currency... skins u could have done for premo... all that extra content that is already working stops people who arent looking to test a game from seeing the broken content. boom everyone wins... instead you are doubling down and saying we should see this broken game the way you intend it to be and not the way it is. that is not fair to the people who have paid for your game. i want my pvp back but it seems you have no intention of doing that and are going to continue putting all your eggs in this basket dangling by a thread. if gamigo forced you to put this broken mess out the door then show them all these comments and the outcry from the people who are supposed to be buying the game but are returning it and if that isnt the case convince whoever you have to at HQ to let the pvp get back n and to do that as fast as possible with either firing atlas reactors servers back up and advertisng the pve game within that game and vice versa or by having the pve menu and pvp menu be both games within the same game launcher etc. or make the pve an actual game and stop it requiring a connection to your servers that have historically proven to not be up passed your profit margin...

been pointed out atlas reactor is "over there on that shelf" well... bring it down.. load it up. alot of the situation here is we were emailed about a new atlas game and the email preyed on our nostalgia and love of atlas reactor. it might be silly that we saw co-op and thought "oh dude a pvp mode that brings back atlas reactor? awesome" without it being true. but the fact we could think like that might TELL YOU SOMETHING!!!

y'all are fighting against disappointment, a broken experience that shouldn't have seen the light of day till the base experience was perfect.. you only get one first impression and the one we got isn't running as yet. and one of your own developers on the project live on camera so to speak put the game we DO want hostage because this one has to "be a hit" first

Yep, thanks for understanding and sharing! Atlas has got room to grow, it's crazy being back in any shape or form and we are glad fans are seeing it that way, too. It's quite unfortunate those trying to impose Atlas Reactor PVP right now are actually the ones harming it the most from being possible in the future.

If I had the keys to Atlas car, of course I'd have both Reactor and Rogues running so everyone could play what they prefer. But as it stands Reactor ran out of gas, it's not something we can just start again. Atlas Rogues however is a rare opportunity to allow new and former audiences experience something within the Atlas universe again. Be sure to share your feedback and let us know what you would like to see in a PVE, rogue-lite setting.
