Gamebreaking black screen of death

[IDK how to build a dam]

After Ed takes a picture of suspicious activity and brings it to his dad's office, it switches to a black screen (I assume loading whatever's next) and then....nothing happens. Tried restarting multiple times, waited 20+ min, but nothing helps. I know my laptop has the sufficient hardware power to play the game, so I'm confused as to what's wrong. Would love to be able to finish the game I paid for though.

The only thing I can think of is that I'm using a laptop with an integrated graphics card (Iris Xe, 4gb vram), but with 4gb vram it should be well above the minimum requirements listed in the game store.

Has anyone else run into this issue, and/or have any advice? Thanks

It seems like I have the same problem. After Julia ends her first session with Ed it should load next chapter/episode but nothing's happening. My specs are way above the requirements, I've bought new PC abouf a week ago. I would really like to know what to do.

I got just a little further on after the photo scene to the end hypnosis prompt, where Julie has a chat to Ed, then same thing black screen can hear some birds chirping and that`s it nothing else happens.

Judging from Steam discussions and other forums, this appears to be a common issue. Would be nice to hear from the devs on this.
