How do you save your progress on this game?

I just played this game today. I could not find how to save my progress. When I wanted to quit the game, it told me all my progress would be lost. And I did lose all my progress. Anyone know what to do?

The game is saved at certain points. In the Steam version of the game, the save works fine. The problem is only with saving the settings, but this problem can be easily solved. Do you have a Steam version of the game? Problems with saving the game are present only in the version from the epic store.

I made it to the hotel level and had to quit to do some errands. The game told me all my progress would be lost if I quit, and sure enough I lost all my progress

This is very strange. I passed the first level completely and stopped at the second. And all progress was saved. Including found artifacts and scanned ghosts.

I am having the same issue, I get all the way to the Library, quit, then when I start the game there is not Resume Career only New Game. :(

So I finally noticed that instead of a proper autosave icon, the game will display on the lower right corner a message saying "loading". This means the game is saving. Might as well say "saving" as well

My issue was unrelated, I had a HDD failure and my PC thought my documents folder, where the GB saves are meant to be, was there when it wasn't. fixed now I have a new HDD.

I'm glad I'm not the only person this happened to. This needs to get fixed
