No, this isn't a spoiler. I suggest sticking out of fan discussion, since it will likely get spoilery, but 'Mizuki becomes an agent'... isn't really something that the first game sets up.

Not really. I mean, it tells you Mizuki is going to make it out of Somnium Files alive in the true end route... beyond that it's not really going into detail on Date's fate. I mean, the actual game itself when it comes out will probably spoil a few things, but you won't have to worry about that unless you intend to play it before finishing the first game.

The idea of Mizuki being an agent isn't really brought up in the first game since she's still a teenager, so that's new info for everyone too.

In the trailer, listen to how casually Aiba disses Date.

I think both of them would be displaying very different moods if Date met a terrible fate.

Not exactly a spoiler.
I guess the only thing they spoiled is Mizuki didn't die in the end of the previous game.

However the first game already has multiple endings, any one of them could be "canon" - which this sequel may choose to go on.
There are also possibilities that none of those endings is "canon." The sequel might just decide to continue "by itself" on an unknown/unexplored potential storyline.

The creator already said there will be a gimmick for why next to nothing from the original will be brought up.
