Please add third person perspective

It's the reason I didn't buy the first Outer Worlds. Could you consider adding it as just an option for those who want to play that way?

Oh great. First we have threads where people ask the developers to completely alter their single player games to make them multiplayer and now people want them to change their first person shooter game to a completely different game. It wouldn't be an FPS anymore if you did that.

This is an FPS-RPG game much like Fallout games, Borderlands games, etc. It's a genre. The game being in first person is a defining feature of the game. It's not going to happen because they're not going to change this.

Borderlands, yes, fps. Fallout has always had third person perspective as an option, including the entry that obsidian had a hand in.

'All arpg's should only be played with mouse and keyboard !!!1111'


the '1111's should elucidate the thinking process (or more so lack thereof) of people with those kinds of arguements,


the obvious 'mass-market' appeal of a game like this obviously lends itself well to being flexible to different playstyles, including camera views etc,

I myself was almost taking the first game seriously possibly thinking of buying it,

although many things made me realize it wasn't for me,

what got me most was eventually there were 'speed-running' videos being done for it,

where people were beating it in like 1-2 hours or something,

at that point it was obvious it's not a deep or serious type of game at all,

and just making that point to remind people these games need a lot more work done to it than arguing whether it 'should' only be in first person view or not

Firstly: I fixed your spacing in your words for you so people can actually read your comment.

Secondly: Any game can be completed in a short amount of time. That has nothing at all to do with how "Serious" a game is or not. I have played through the first game and with the base game and it's DLC there's easily multiple hundreds of hours of gameplay there. It's most definitely NOT something you would be bored of in 2 hours.

You should never watch any "speed runs" to get an idea of a game. That's completely laughable. They always skip all the content in a game focusing instead on the minimum amount of time to complete it.

No it hasn't. There hasn't been confirmation on first person only.

Avowed was also planned as first person.
