Sending data to a google server
Hello,

I notice your game opens a port on my machine to send data to a google owned server (via QUIC protocol) even when we have analytics turned off. Can you share what data is being transmitted and why (just to put at ease the more privacy worried folk)? Thanks for the your time.

Hi, I think it's related to sending feedback or exception report when you play (with amazon cloud), or it could be Unity's internal crash report (not sure i
f it's using Google cloud). Could you share more details about what you captured? I believe we don't send any data other than crash/exception related.

Hello,

Certainly. You have connections to 34.117.188.166 (google owned server) which seems to be using the Mozilla contile services. After the handshake, there are encrypted payloads being sent back and forth (which probably is using HTTP/3 with the QUIC protocol).
Apart from a connection to gravatar, the game opens a port to 34.96.113.148 which seems to be in the same network range of the first IP mentioned.

If this issue occurs frequently during your game session, it may be related to Unity's internal crash report service, which we partially rely on to trace bugs. Currently, there is no way to disable this service on the player side.

If you have privacy concerns, you can block internet access for "Journey to the West." The game does not require an internet connection to play, so this should not affect your gameplay experience. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

I thought that might be the case, just wanted to alert the devs for this issue since it may be a deal breaker to some people. Thanks for the clarification, time and patience.
